Awesome that we have an explanation as to why the screen dims by itself even when auto dim is switched off BUT is it necessary and is there a fix or work around for this? I play a couple of races on RR3 or BBR and bam, the G4 dims the screen itself (auto dim is not on - slow but not quite that slow) anywhere from 10 to 40%. My Note 4, S6, & S6 Edge don't behave that way and do not overheat and they have large QHD screens...granted they are different screen tech...and maybe that's the difference. Either that or the G4 is just plain lousy and heat dissipation. Bottom line is other flagship phones do not behave this way and it is a bit on the annoying side. If that is the innovation that LG came up with and what they have to do to keep their G4 from overheating under normal use, then for me it is a useless device. Which is actually quite a shame because I liked many other features of the phone. It was a keeper if it didn't have this annoying screen dimming thing going on.
