G4 Pictures rotating after sharing/sending them?

I just did a test, and it appears that if you share from the google photos app they won't be rotated. So if you use the auto backup feature of Google photos, this seems like a relatively painless and easy fix.

This is also happens to me as well, though only randomly so far. Haven't figured out when why etc. For such phone that touts such a fantastic 📷 this is sort of lame, don't you think? I first noticed it when I posted a photo taken in portrait orientation to instagram and it was sideways.

I'm having this same problem with my G3. When I edit a picture it comes up on my phone sideways for a split second and then it corrects it. But when I share the picture on fb it turns it sideways.

Facebook purposely removes all the EXIF data in the uploaded image so that it is easier to steal the image. The rotation data is included in the data Facebook discards. Thus you need an editor that will do the physical rotation of the pixels.

For editors, I like Snapseed and Photoshop Express.

I found a fix.... Was doing it on my lg v10 after editing photos in the gallery app already installed on my phone. What I did was after editing my photo I saved it and when it went to the picture where you can choose share, edit, etc. I clicked the three little dots for the menu and it lets you rotate it I rotated it 90 degrees to put it in landscape then rotated it 90 degrees back to vertical and it worked I uploaded to facebook and sent it in a message (when before it was sending the pic in landscape mode) now it sends correctky.....

Hope this helps

Yes my phone's been doing this too. The only way I've been able to override that is if I crop the original picture before sharing. You don't have to crop it down just adjust it so that the full image has been 'cropped' and that seems to fix it temporarily. It's a major pain in the *** right now.
