If you look at the details of each photo taken with the lgg4, you'll see that the orientation tag is present. O° for horizontal and 90° for vertical.
The only fix I have found is to rotate the photo after taking it, save it, and then rotate it back and save. That way it looks correct on your phone and gets displayed properly when sent.

This is a reasonable workaround. I just edit the photo in Snapseed: rotate right, rotate left, save.
Lots of photo viewers and web browsers do not honor the orientation EXIF data. Even worse, some websites like Facebook remove the EXIF data.

All my previous phones have worked with all websites and apps, this one doesn't... The problem is with the phone.The problem is not the camera. The problem is the image viewer or web browser or web site that is hosting your image. It is no longer the 1990s.
I just got V10F and it's still not fixed... Grumpy
So most apps use Google's older camera APIs still. Guess this makes sense.

Just bought the G4 and this photo rotating issue is making me wish I still had my nexus 5. Love the camera on this phone ....but thats usless if photos are flipping when I post them.
