Galaxy Nexus $199

So should it be safe to go in the store and buy the phone if your account was notated for the $100 off over the phone? I'm wondering if in store they will require you to produce the flyer.

We asked for a note so that there would be no mixups in the store. He said definitely and placed it there and said they would see it.
 
I'm just going go through CS so I don't waste time at a store that might say they see no note etc.

Probably going to do the same thing. I can wait another couple days to have the phone in my hands.

Off topic, is there anywhere on My Verizon you can see the date your contract was started?

Called 3x now and can't get them to budge. The last rep didn't even know the GNex was being released in the morning.

Oh boy is right. I just went through all this effort for this?

I will be checking this thread for confirmation of successes tomorrow since my store doesn't open until 10am! I hope you 9am folks can post your results here!
 
So the cs person is calling me on Friday because I'm too busy with my kids and work to play with the phone. If I don't like the feel of it am going to. Take a serious look. At the rezound and root it.
 
I found this thread by accident (thanks!)... called this evening and got the $100 3G-4G and the $100 dumb-smart phone discounts "noted" in my account.

That with my $30 NE2 means this phone will cost me $70 + 44 tax (it was significantly cheaper to buy my wife's Droid Charge, in July, from Amazon than at the local Sacramento VZ store).

Of course, I'm bummed that in Dec 2009, I used my up-to-$100 "NE2" credit to buy a cheap (fit my needs - excellent battery) $40 dumbphone -- only to find a year ago that my new NE2 credit was only $30! Had I known they'd do that, I would have sat on that full $100; instead, I "lost" $70.
 
I called this morning and first rep I spoke to found the promo and notated my account. I thought I was all set, but when the nexus was announced this afternoon, I thought I'd make preparations. Went to the closest verizon store to make sure the transaction would go smoothly tomorrow and the sale rep gave me a hard time. Try to convince me there was no promo even though all the remarks were right there on my account. He said if he couldn't locate the promo they wouldn't honor it.

Got home and decided to call 611 and spoke to another rep in telesales. They said they would honor the promo if I called them to order it. They would also ship next day so yea, $100 more off and wait another day - that's no problem for me! My advice, go to your store ahead of time to meet a sales rep to be sure you'll get this tomorrow or try telesales. I thought the account notation would be enough, but glad I went to check tonight.

Quick question. I got the $100 discount (hopefully it works) I looked at phones and they were listed at $249.99 instead of $299.99. I also saw on my upgrade page that I had $30 off. Would this be all in combination? Or am I confusing the NE2 and Loyalty discount?

$50 = NE2
$30 = Loyalty discount
$100 = 3G-4G discount
$180 = Total discount
 
The customer service rep I just spoke with told me to go to www.trade-in.VZW.com after I upgrade and enter the ch4ge code and I would be sent a VZW gift card. Hope it works!

The promotion code you have entered is invalid. Please verify the code is correct and re-enter it exactly as it is formatted
(E.g. ABCDEF-432B-4OBR-8LB1).
Avoid Common Errors:
Be sure to include the codes prefix (E.g. ABCDEF).
Verify you are entering letters instead of numbers or vice versa (e.g. 8 instead of B, 0 instead of O)

Hey guys do you know if Radio-shack or Best Buy will be honoring the 100 off promo plus the NE2? I work in the mall so hopefully I can take advantage of getting one first thing in the morning.
 
so I've posted on this thread a few times about how I was told I qualified for the $100 discount by 2 different people at Verizon, but when I placed my order online it didn't show up, when I called to inquire they told me I wasn't available and whatever that nice gentleman did to make it available for me was NOT allowed so I didn't get that discount after all... here in Oregon :'(
