Galaxy Nexus Tips And Tricks

There's an option in g+ to upload videos too. I think its either defaulted as off or wifi upload only. Gotta mess with the instant upload settings.

Unless you have a different version of the Google+ app...mine that came preinstalled has no mention of videos under settings. I have the following checked under settings: "Enable Instant Upload".......When to Upload Photos (When there is a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection available)...."Upload photos when on battery power" I even tried the "Immediately upload all photos on the device" and it still only uploads pictures.

My Google+ was and older version and it didn't have an option for videos either. I looked up Google+ on market and updated from there. Video settings now show up and upload.

I have had the google+ app crash on me a few times after I updated to the new one. Im wondering if its another app causing that to happen somehow

The easter egg is a Nyan Cat reference:

That Nyan Droid is in the dev logcat I think, it's in there somewhere. I wish I worked for Google, it would be great to work for a company that values a sense of humor.

Does having GPS idle really take up battery usage? Same goes with NFC? I guess it wouldn't hurt but I'm just curious.

I always turn off the GPS when I'm not using it. I turned off NFC today and it seemed to make a difference in the battery life. Can't believe it would make THAT much of a difference, but every little bit helps with this phone. :)

I put a button with a contact's info in it on the home page and now I can't remember how I did it. I removed it and now I want it back. I think I did something with the contact widget, but when I try to put it on the homescreen, it says no more room but there is more room now than before since I removed a contact button.

Can anyone tell me how to get a contact's info back on the homescreen as a button?

Has anyone found any better way to get to bookmarks than long pressing the back button? Such a pain.

In the browser, go to settings, labs and check the box for quick controls. You can press on the side of the screen and bring up bookmarks.

I'm a longtime BB user that just switched to Android. On my BB if a call or text came in I just had to touch the screen to silence the ringtone. Is there any way to simulate this on the GNex? Right now, especially for texts, I have to click on the Messaging icon then the text that's coming in to get it to silence.

So far I have tried a few different homescreen launchers, but none are as good as the stock one.

Biggest thing is the folders - you need to create them for other launchers and then it takes 2 clicks to back out. Only 1 with the stock.

Thanks for posting how to enable Volume+. I had it loaded but not on.

My buddy only has one arm....

This was cool

End a phone call by pressing the power button.

Settings>Accessibility>Power button ends call

Any other tips or tricks for easier one handed operation?

I tried that and it didn't work. Perhaps there is a setting somewhere?
