Hi I recently just bought a Galaxy Note 2 and noticed it was on 4.1.1 JellyBean and know that there's suppose to be a 4.1.2 update out for the major Samsung phones. I went to Settings- About Device- Software Update- Check For Updates and it says "Current software is up to date". Anyone know what the problem could be?

It's an AT&T Note 2 but my carrier is Simple Mobile. I have not set up my phone account because I need to unlock the phone first. I've tried updating using Samsung Kies but it it shows like it's about to start updating and then the application forces close. I have no idea why the Kies application would be forcing close.

After countless hours of searching and trying multiple different ways to update I realized I chose the wrong update file from stockroms. The phone was originally rooted and I unrooted it and when it came to choosing a rom to download from stockroms.net I chose the first one which I realized was the 4.1.1 stock rom. So I re-rooted it and then unrooted it intsalling the 4.1.2 rom and it worked and finally I have 4.1.2!!!
