It's looking like another price hike for the note series again this year, €1299 for base note and €1499 for the ultra!
I am actually trialing a Huawei P40 Pro right now and seriously thinking about ditching Samsung at these prices.
The P40 Pro comes in at £899 and their watch is bundled. The phone is a beast not to mention the camera, if you can live without the play store then it really is worth considering.
Edit: The watch deal has ended, now its just the Free Buds 3, the Band 4 Pro and a case, as well as the clear case they already include in the box!

A £400 hike is a bit extreme over the 10. Jeez.
Nae chance of even getting a cheap *** plastic case in the box either, never mind some buds and a band like the P40pro.
That said, I couldn't cope without GMS.
Not for that price anyway.

The Note20, in any version, will only be available in some fancifully named version of black at lauch. Preferred configurations and colors will ship by October if the the past two Note launches are any indication.

Not sure what region you are in. I got Blue Note 10+ at launch. Same with Note 9. (Verizon)

The Aura Glow Note10 Plus 12GB/512GB was nowhere to be found last August as was the Note9 8GB/512GB in blue in August of 2018. Lower configurations were more widely available though. Last year I bought an Aura Glow 12GB/256GB Note10 Plus as a placeholder until the upgraded version was available in late-September. Initially that device was shown as shipping by October 21, 2019 but it arrived twenty three days earlier. Additionally, last year, a Note10 Plus 5G in the top configuration was even more elusive.

We have historically had black and one other colour. And usually only one colour in the halo model.
Thankfully the other colour was rainbow skittles aura last year for a bit of a change. Usually the colours at the unpacking event are not available to us, at launch anyway.

My expectations have been tempered for this year's launch. I'd be very surprised if I'm able to get a Note20 Plus/Ultra/Xtreme (or whatever it winds up being named) in the color I'd like to have with the memory and storage capacity I believe i need. I have an S20 Ultra 16GB/512GB and a Note10 Plus 12GB/512GB (which I'd sell to my younger brother) and don't really need a new phone but that's somewhat beside the point.

Recently, it seems the fitting thing to get a new Note for the end of summer family seashore vacation. Some family members coming from out of state may not make it this year. As an aside, I was once the only person to have a Note device at our gathering until recently. Last year two of my nieces had a Note10 Plus as did one of my nephews. I used to be the videographer for our vacation but it's nice to have the youngsters helping out.

Indeed. Last year they had to re-educated me on how to make a GIF from a video. That was something I'd taught myself with the Note9 in 2018. Now I'll need their help on how to frame and resize videos properly.

That wasn't true with the Note 10+. I received the Aura blue in the US immediately during pre-order. I prefer a color other than basic black or grey but like most people I put it in a case anyway
