Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

You can use a hairdryer, but on my Trident cyclops I just popped it out carefully with a little force with my hands.

Was surprised how easy it was to do that. Almost like not much was holding the screen protector attached to the case. Not very impressed with the quality at all

you're right, way pretty easy, adhesive came off quite easily too. Have the case back on, now just waiting for my screen protector to come in the mail, can't wait

Currently debating about getting either the Otterbox Commuter or Defender. Both seem great, just can't make up my mind here. Any suggestions?

I have the defender. Not bulky and is impressively thin compared to previous models.

Is it too big for front pants pockets? Does it provide good grip or is it a little slippery?

Good grip. Does fit in my pocket. It does add more protection than the commuter and is way thinner than the note 2 defender.

Thanks! I have a few more questions...

1) Is it easy to use for one-handed operation?

2) Are the flaps covering the ports strong/durable, meaning they won't tear easily?

3) Is the outer rubber skin durable so that it doesn't tear easily? I had the inicipio dualpro and that rubber skin tore within a week (albeit that's more comparable to the OB Commuter case).

Thanks again!

One handed yes for the most part. The new rubber design is very strong and durable. Very pleased with my defender. A lot better than previous defenders.

Has anyone tried to combine a thin case with the Samsung s view cover?

I know it won't work as-is, but maybe if you cut the back off and only used the front cover and side from the S-View and used some superglue to attach it to a thin shell case like the Diztronic slim or similar? I like the thin cases but there is no screen protection (other than the glass screen protector that I have).

This way you would get all - around protection.

So I bought the Otterbox Defender, and so far I'm liking it. It's heavier than I was expecting, but my phone feels solid in my hands. I like it.

Just ordered me a Silver Spigen Neo Hybrid to replace my Diztronic. Worried it may be too thick but we shall see.

No the Neo Hybrid is pretty thin.

I just installed my Spigen Neo Hybrid case with the metal slate trim ring and it looks fantastic. And it is not bulky at all. In my opinion it improves the way my jet black Note 3 looks and it feels better in the hand compared to the standard stock casing.

I've decided to start out with the Samsung S-View Folio Case with a iLoome GLASS screen protector. I have the Zagg GLASS on my iPhone 5s and from now I will use GLASS screen protectors, they just feel a whole lot better

Yes it is. For comparison I have the included black and I also bought the white. The black is the best for grip. Both the white and yellow are more slippery.

Think I might get the spigen neo hybrid case. I've got the official s-view cover but it makes the phone a bit bulky.
