Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

Okay I have to apologize but I didn't read all 46 pages of responses. I bought two covers for my Note 3. The first one I received already, which is the S view case and I LOVE it, however, it's a 3rd party case. I didn't want to spend $50 for the OEM. Just didn't make sense to me. I paid less than $7 on eBay and they have every color choice. The other case I bought is another 3rd party case, which is like the S view but has a full window.
I also got the tempered glass screen protector OEM and I simply love, love, love it! What a great idea! I was so sick of those ridiculously difficult film screen protectors that don't stand up to any wear and tear. Love all the accessories available.
Had an Otter Box for the Note 2 I used to have and HATED it!
Now I just need to find a leg holster to put my Note 3 in for when I'm horseback riding. Wonder if a 3rd party will come up with something like that! lol

Can anyone recommend me a good case that doesn't add much bulk?

I've had cases in the past but a lot have either been bad at collecting fingerprints which looked messy or had really bad grip. I've been looking at the Spigen neo hybrid, can anyone recommend this? Does it add a lot of bulk to the note?

Thanks!

Anybody ever come across a replacement battery door for the Note 3 that also functions as like a bumper for the edges? I'm basically looking for a case that snaps on to the phone like the battery door (kind of like s view case or whatever), but that has additional material that covers the edges of the phone. They can't be that hard to make I'm kind of surprised I haven't been able to find one yet. Anyways, input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I actually just ordered from Amazon and should have it Monday. I've seen good reviews and threads on it so took the plunge.

Spigen Neo Hybrid in metal slate with my jet black Note 3 here. Best case I have ever used. It provides just enough protection while looking very sleek. It makes the Note 3 feel more secure in the hand. I will be ordering a second one to put away just in case the current one suffers from a bad drop.

Having used a number of cases, I just returned them all and took up a plan that allows me to pay 14 dollars extra a month but let's me upgrade twice a year to a similar smartphone twice a year for 150 dollars. I change my phone frequently anyway. This made mope sense than spending on cases.

I have a note 3 and a slim diztronic case. I need a sleeve or pouch to put around the note with case when I toss it in my fanny pack.

Any suggestions? I bought a $5 fake leather sleeve but it won't accomodate my note with diztronic case.

Thanks,
Mike

I would be interested in this as well. Sometimes I miss having a sleeve/pouch to just toss my phone in.

Whew, been using my new Note 3 naked for almost 2 weeks and today the case I ordered finally arrived. I've been wanting to try out one of those metal cases for a while ever since I saw one for the Note 2 on youtube. Here's a few pics:

There's a few pros and cons.

Cons:
- The aluminum is thick and as such, is noticeable weight-wise. This might be a pro for some.
- Affects wi-fi signal. May also affect network signal but not for me because I'm in a good reception area, I guess?
- Matte finish on aluminum isn't very grippy.
- No S-pen cap so it's left exposed and somewhat unsightly.

Pros:
- Real aluminum is smooth and cold to the touch, resistant to finger smudges. Looks clean all the time.
- Fits really snug and tight, no creaking or flexing anywhere. Feels really solid and looks so integrated it gives the illusion that the phone came looking like this and not a tacked on case.
- All the buttons work well, sound doesn't suffer either so operation feels natural.
- Aluminum is colored all the way through so scratches won't be noticeable at all.
- Heavy but not bulky despite the thickness of the aluminum.

I'm pretty happy with it especially looks-wise. I really wanted to get rid of that plastic feel and this case definitely does that. I'll probably keep my eye out for other metallic cases that doesn't affect wi-fi as much though.

Currently I have the Samsung flip cover which I'm not crazy about. I just ordered an Otterbox commuter or everyday and an Otterbox defender for my backpacking trips. Hopefully they will do the trick for me.

Was tired of the larger footprint of the Commuter after having it on my Note 2 so I went back to Spigen Slim Armor. Bad side is that it holds finger oil like crazy and will get easily scratched but, nothigns perfect I guess

I just got the 2 Otterbox cases I had ordered. I love the Commuter and I love the anti glare film that comes with it. I'm not so crazy about the Defender but I'll keep it because my summer will be all outdoors in very rugged conditions and I need my phone protected.
