Galaxy Note 3 overheating

Re: galaxy note 3 overheating

same here, is there anyone solved it? I tried to remove sd card, do a factory reset, but it didn't work

Ive been having this issue a lot, mainly when i play CoC. I removed my SD card after reading this post and the problem still occurred. I bought some Arctic Silver 5 the other day and put it on the CPU and GPU. My phone idle temp has dropped over 20 degrees Fahrenheit and it hasn't overheated to the point of crashing yet. Don't try this if you don't know how to apply Arctic Silver 5, if you apply it incorrectly you could permanently damage your phone. Hope it helps those who try.

Same issue bro!
i accidently updated my note 3 n9005 from jellybean to 4.4.2 kitkat
but i didnt face any problem for some days!
But eventually, Android System process is eating up 25 - 30% of the battery ( even more usage than my screen ).
i can't find an effective solution till now and even downgrading to jellybean isn's possible because of warranty issues!...
Am in trouble and fed up holding the phone as its heating too much and draining too!
i did a hard reset few days before and still found that android system is using the percentage of battery!..Help Us Anyone

hi guys,

i just got my galaxy note 3, and i'm loving the phone. (i upgraded from my note 2)
what i realize after a couple of days is, it starts to get warm (not hot to the point where it's unbearable or anything) really fast. i could just be serving the web a bit, chatting on whatsapp for a little bit, and then the area around the camera would start to get really warm.
i use the phone in about the same manner i used my note 2, but i never noticed my note 2 warming up that fast...
anyone experiencing the same thing? any advice?
thanks in advance!

Hello I am not using Note 3 but Note 3 Neo. The SD card is 32gb Samsung(10+).
My CPU overheats a lot reached even 70 Degree Celsius thrice and usually reaches around 65 Degrees very easily but I believe its not due to the SD card .

I called AT&T tech support and was told to keep an eye on the storage folder (settings>general>storage). I was told that the number of temporary files in the cache should be between 250 and 500 mB. When I called, I had over a gB. He told me to click on the box next to the cache folder to delete the temporary files. It helped immediately. However, today it was overheating. I deleted the temporary files, but it's still overheating. I powered down. It helped, and I hope it stays cool.

bravo, I was really upset about this overheating problem and did'nt know what to do. Exactly as you had guessed, right after uninstalling knox, trhe problem faded out. It was a horrible problem cause my battery drained in seconds some times.. Now everything seems to have been in order, and no heating at all... thanks..

Just found this thread after uninstalling some bloatwares. I have KNOX uninstalled on GN3 Lollipop and will update the result after use it for a day.
