Galaxy note 8" screen dims extremely low at random

I have a galaxy note 8 inch tab that just dims very low at random. At first I thought the screen was turning off, but at the right angle you can just barely see something moving, like apps when scrolling, but you can still hear everything like normal. This will happen when i'm playing a game, drawing, or just turning on the device..

I have the Note 8 as well and I found that turning off the auto brightness worked for me. Give it a try.

I tried and it seemed like it was working, but once I powered the screen off and back on, it did it again. Also it doesn't fade, it just snaps to a very very dark screen. My guess is that it's a faulty or loose ribbon? But idk..

Ok, so I plugged it in to charge last night and when I came back it was at 100% and the screen turned on no problem. So I ran a few games and apps and created some drawings, but the screen never dimmed out like before. I have no idea why it's working now, but I'm wondering if I should send it back still

Sounds like a hardware problem. Have you contacted Samsung service in Texas?
