Galaxy S III

?? dude u read into what the blogs say WAAAAAAAAAY too much. i mean its there, but its hardly a crappy screen

can go 24 hours + with the one s.... who needs to change the battery (although an SD card slot and NFC sure would be nice!!)

looks is an opinion, IMO the one s looks and feels like a much nicer phone.

I say they tie on the performance end though.... its the SAME SOC!!! (at least in the states) there has never been a SINGLE time with my one s that i thought "wow, this is slow"

I will agree with the features though. Sammy hit a big one with the s3 in that area... they just need to drop the touchwiz though for sure..

The one s doesn't go 24 hours on battery unless you're one of those people that just don't use the phone much.

I have yet to see an android go that long, but in all fairness I haven't used the razr maxxx either.

Re: Galaxy S3

I meant you lose the real estate from the dots down, close to an inch and a half vertically.

The One S has the home screen widgets built into the UI too, but you only lose
about a half inch of customizable real estate.

So by doing that Samsung has actually shrunk the customizable area of the home screen to less than what you have on a One S.

Probably not even noticed by the Galaxy fanboys but it was the first thing I noticed, that huge screen....you can own the phone but lose a huge chunk of the home screen.

Call me a Touchwiz hater I guess.......

:'(

Actually you can re-size several of the widgets. But that weather widget is not res-izeable. You can always get rid of the widgets. They aren't permanent. I love the HTC One S. I just don't like the fact they don't have korean on their Sense Keyboard and qHD resolution.

I switched to AT&T and picked up a Craigslist HTC One X.
This phone has the best screen I've seen on any phone.
A guy I know that has the GSIII is always wanting to see my phone.
He's amazed by the screen.

;)

A guy at work can change the Wifi reception of his One X by squeezing the case. Damnedest thing I've seen. :screwy:

I'm late on this reply, but I really disagree - it IS a crappy screen and quite frankly there's no excuse for it. But - and this is the rub - it all depends on where you're coming from. In my case, I was coming from a Galaxy S 2 which is a non-pentile screen (but also a non-HD screen with a similar resolution as the One S) and the difference is remarkable. The S2's screen is considerably better which is pathetic because it's more than a year older than the One S. Now, if you are coming from a phone that's a few years old you may view the One S's screen as an upgrade, especially if you've never had a s-amoled screen before.

But these smartphones are expensive (and the screen is a big deal) so there's just no way I could justify spending the money for a new smartphone that had a worse screen than my previous phone. It didn't need to be an HD screen, they could have kept the same resolution but made it NON-pentile and I probably would have kept it.

Lol you guys make me laugh. My dad has the One S, and I like it, but it really can't be compared to the S3.

Out of everything you can't compare the One S screen with the S3. The reason why people hate the S3's screen is because of the fact it uses Pentile technology which makes the screen look pixelated when using it up close. Well the One S screen is also a Pentile screen plus it has a lower resolution then the S3 meaning it really can't be better. The One X screen on the other hand is probably better then the S3. I have bad vision so I don't notice pixelation unless the phone is 3-5 inches in front of my eyes.

One thing I like about the One S is the metal build quality, the thinness, and decent battery. But the S3 battery will last me through the day and a little more so I am fine with that. Both phones have pros and cons.
