Galaxy S20 Launch = Complete FLOP !

I have an S20 (small one) due for delivery tomorrow. It's the unlocked version that i'll be using on T-Mo. Samsung trade in gave me $600 for a regular Pixel 4 and $100 credit to spend in the store so I am not complaining. All in all with tax I spent like $430 and got the S20 and the wireless Galaxy buds.

Why would someone make this thread? Lol - its only a couple days after the release, and he's basing all of north america's s20 orders off of one Best Buy store? OK.

Forums members have a right to post their observations and opinions even if you don't agree with them as long as they don't violate forum rules.

My best buy had the same results as the OP's. Let's just base it off the forum... Samsung pre-order thread was basically the busiest thread... Best buy's, Verizon's, AT&T, and so on postings were slow compared to other releases. Heck, Verizon and best buy's pre-order post wasn't even a sticky. So I'd say that even in the forums the interest was low on the S20 release.

Maybe in his/her part of the world the S20 is not selling well for whatever reason. I don't know either way if it's selling like hotcakes or not but the OP is entitled to their opinion. If you don;t like their opinion then just breeze on past the thread / post.... No reason to insult others because you disagree...

My opinion is that as phone prices increase more and more people will hold off upgrading until they have to. The days of people upgrading every year are probably over as phone prices increase. The top dog S20 is what, $1400? That's a lot of bread and people won't be upgrading yearly at those prices...

I dont care what the sales figures are. The phone works for me and im happy with my purchase. If someone else doesn't like it thats great too. Go buy what you like and what works for you. Thats the great thing about America, we all have choices and aren't forced to buy anything we don't like.

I was in Best Buy today to see if my Clipmate Spring Clip Holster from the S10 would work on the S20 and to play around with the S20 some more.. I dig it...

And yes, the clip holster for the S10 fits almost perfectly with the S20.

Exactly. Maybe he/she lives in an economically depressed area or in an area when iPhone's are the fashion statement of the day ect... You, nor I, know why his/her Best Buy was barren of S20 shoppers. But it's really not important. The OP simply posted their opinion / observation.

Surprisingly a lot of Note 10 users have opted for the regular S20. I couldn't switch to that small of a footprint.

Lol flop or not shouldn't matter. You say that as if Samsungs success is dependent on this one launch. It's as if you don't even want to enjoy the phone for yourself. Pray that the phone is to your liking. As shown with the iPhone time and time again popularity doesn't determine if a phone is actually good or not.

Based on shop Samsung I would suspect that the Sprint variant is selling the most in the US. You can't even order the 128gb at all currently.
