Galaxy S3 or Evo 4G LTE Future Proof?

I Ordered a Galaxy S3 for Sprint, but received a Evo 4 LTE. After having the HTC for a week and finally getting the S3, I am very disappointed with the S3. The UI is absolutely horrible, and the shutter sound is IMPOSSIBLE to turn off with the Sprint version.
If the Evo had 2 Gigs of Ram like the S3, i would readily keep it in place of the S3.
I have until 8/16 to decide which to keep.
The only thing keeping me from returning the S3 right now is that i feel like it is more future proof than the Evo.
But in all honesty if the Evo were to be able to get Jelly Bean this year, and maintain the smooth UI it now has WITHOUT rooting, That would be enough.

Any advice?

They are both great phones. Sence and TW is all preference, so only u can make that decision. I don't see the evo getting a whole lot faster with JB. S3 will be faster with more RAM.

And for future proof,I would go with the S3. If things keep going the way they are HTC might not be here next year.

sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 running CyanogenMod 10.

I'll probably end up keeping the Galaxy, but I'm also debating returning it and waiting on the next iPhone, since it's is only a month away.

HTC isn't going anywhere anytime soon. But there are a few things to think about...

I have the S3 but have played with the Evo 4G LTE enough to know I prefer the S3 hands down. Why? Well, you can remove the battery on the S3. I've heard the Evo's batt life is horrible. Besides, if you like the widgets most can be downloaded from Gplay. Also, there are a hell of alot more choices of accessories for the S3.

Don't even get me started about the iphone. Things I would say would get me banned from AC.

I'm a big fan of HTC . I bought the og Evo 4G and loved it, so when the new Evo was released I thought it was a no brainer to pick up one when I was due for an upgrade back in June.

Well..As much as I loved the build quality, the screen and little touches like the kick stand and separate camera button I had nothing but issues with it and had to return it three times before switching to a SIII.

The phone got really hot when I would be talking on it, the BT had a crackling popping sound when I would be using my BT headset or streaming to a BT speaker. Plus everytime I would reboot my phone all my apps I downloaded from GPlay or the Amazon store disappeared so I would have to redownload everything. Oh and also the multitasking issue was a royal pain to deal with.

So I figured the hell with it and I swapped it for an SIII and I couldn't happier with it. Really disppointed with HTC and the 4G LTE. I hope HTC can iron out these bugs because they really do make great hardwear.

Also kudos to BB mobile for not giving me a hassle when I was returning the phones!

What's funny is that I got both my S2 and S3 there. When I traded my S2 for the S3 and the "expert" was setting up my phone, I said before he turned it on to install my SD card. He told me it doesn't have one and that it's all internal.I said nooooo, the Sprint version has an SD slot next to the battery. He said no and that ALL S3's have internal memory and do NOT have an expandable memory slot. I said give it to me, removed the cover, installed SD card, replaced cover and handed it back to him. He looked at me like dude...I'm sorry....so as he finished seting it up, he went to install the screen protector and I said...WAIT....I'll do it when I get home cause you know, it doesn't have an SD card slot and the protector might not stick right. He threw it all in a bag and I said thanks and have an SD good day!

He was ticked.

Shocker that a Best Buy employee gave out misinformation. lol

Before I picked up mine 2 weeks ago for my 22 month upgrade, I went in the day before and inquired about getting a 32GB model. The dipwit at my Best Buy proceeded to tell me that Best Buy decided not to carry the 32GB version because:

-it's still a 16GB model, but with a 16GB microSD included (WRONG)
-it's not worth the $100 upgrade for a 16GB card (WRONG twice... it's only a $50 upgrade ($249 instead of $199, and again... neither one includes a memory card because the 32GB of memory is all internal).

What idiots. I still bought a white 16GB version from them though because of the instant $50 gift card I got from them, only having to pay $149 for the phone was nice... but I'm hoping they eventually get the 32GB models so I can swap it out (60 day return/exchange policy with Silver Premier Rewards).

I saw an article about the Galaxy S4 today.
wtf!!
Nothing is future proof. lol

Whenever I see someone with their Iphone I say "Awwww isn't that cute. You could fit that right inside my phone" hahah
I crack myself up
