Is it possible to root my phone?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-i747 with AT&T running Android OS 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

I know there are sticky's and walkthroughs but I haven't seen any on 4.0.4. Also, I have to pick a ROM to use apparently? Which is the best one with the least bugs? I just want to be able to install apps that require rooting, nothing fancy.
