Galaxy S5 lockscreen

Greetings,

Just got a S5 and I have noticed that the lock screen pattern lock as well as the fingerprint lock are very inconsistent. Half the time after setting one of these security locks they don't even work and let you right in. Just wondering if this is a glitch or I'm doing something wrong. I never had a problem when I used my toy iPhone 5s. Any help/input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It will work but you need to set "Secured Lock Time" to "Instantly lock when the power key is pressed or when the screen times out". It's in the Lock Screen menu.

Set up your screen time out in the Display menu and you should be good to go.
