Galaxy S5: Release Dates & Order/Shipping Discussion

I'm becoming best friends with the people at AT&T order support.

Just called to confirm once again to find out what could be holding up the shipment. She told me that everything was fine on my order, but some orders have a longer processing time than others.

I have a feeling that my delay has to do with purchasing through next. Even though I ordered on 3/21, it probably was just barely sent to the warehouse for shipment due to extra processing time for the next program.

Not really sure, but this is what I'm going with.

The agent told me that I should see an update later today or first thing tomorrow.

Interesting... I did my upgrade via Next also. Could Next really be the problem? Not sure I see how?
 
I asked her if that was what made it have extra processing time. She said "I don't see how". But she also told me that it was just recently sent to the warehouse.


Interestingly enough and because of my impatience, I checked a few minutes later and the phone went from "preparing to ship" to "processing".

TMo: shipped out yesterday (UPS Ground). expected delivery Thurs. tracking # showed up when i checked "order status" on TMo's site under my account last night around midnight (EST), and this morning 10am, received SMS from TMo telling me the same info plus tracking #.

all in all, i think TMo is on the ball. nothing they've done thus far seems out of sync or not on track. timing-wise, they are spot on as well - i'll receive mine on 4/10th, one day prior to the global 150 countries launch date of 4/11th, so essentially, TMo is doing everything exactly according to plan.

while i had intended all along to pay the extra next day air shipping fee, i was so exasperated at 3am trying to pre-order at the opening of their pre-order page that that one time i forgot to check that next day air box, was the one time the order finally did indeed go through, so mine is coming to me from Kentucky via UPS Ground.
 
Yeah then Next isn't the issue. I'm definitely becoming increasingly more frustrated. I'd just like to see some movement.

Maverick, I just checked again and mine now shows as shipped.

If you haven't called them, I suggest going so.

I paid full retail price for mine, so I know that next can't be the hold up for mine. I also was told it would ship out today
 
I was excited to get my tracking number from tmobile but then I noticed on their site it says "designated as a gift". I'm guessing even though ups says delivery tomorrow it just might come Friday anyway.
 
Att still shows preparing to ship for my black s5 using next. Getting a bit impatient and frustrated. But congrats to all of you who got yours shipped!
 
Now I just have to try and be patient with the carrier. I was a cheapskate and did normal shipping, so it was sent USPS.

I ordered on 4/4 and a shipping date of 4/8-4/9 with a preparing shipment notice on line. . My concern is that I no longer have a pending charge from ATT on my credit card. Should I be concerned.

I wouldn't be concerned, my credit card doesn't even show the charge yet and mine has shipped
