I can't begin to do anything but laugh when I A-Typical Americans, think that anything said to them from Sales Agents is legitimate. Like any american when you don't get your way you'll turn liberal and throw a fit until replacement occurs, IP67 is RESISTANT not proof, I think we're done here, and you have ZERO argument for warranting a replacement. Second, to claim Samsungs service to ****, is comical, have you ever got assistance from any other company that superior? ASIDE from apple which gets money DIRECTLY from the customer through a private NON-3rd party coverage. To think the manufacture is responsible for replacing faulty items is not Samsungs fault, every company mirrors these policies, THE PHONE COMPANIES WHO ARE WELL AWARE OF ALL OF THIS INFORMATION, Fail to tell you these details... why? Because you'll turn down product protection, and all the extra sales gimmicks that just make the entire experience expensive. YOU pay THEM monthly, not the manufacture. Humans think just because you turn technology into a requirement for life you're entitled or justified. If your DELL or HP computer craps out on you...you're not calling HP or Dell demanding they cover you internet bill and replace the PC are you??? They like ANY ELECTRONIC manufacture will tell you to TAKE IT BACK TO THE SALES LOCATION, problem is ATT,VZW,Tmobile, or ANY other sales company purposely cut these ties at 14 days, and have a neat tactic to dishing out the responsibility to other companies...
Samsung sells the product too VZW/Tmobile, these companies set the value or price, when you go to get it replaced, it HITS their pockets as a company and they don't like that. Also electronic manufactures aren't required to provide a single shred of Customer service, they provide SPECIFICALLY ''TECHNICAL SUPPORT / WARRANTY SUPPORT''. The company known as a '' SERVICE PROVIDER'' wait? did you catch that? SERVICE PROVIDER , is responsible for providing guess what? "CUSTOMER''SERVICE''
Let me guess you think VZW is terrible and has bad service? There's little you can do to argue the fact their network is large, state of the art LTE (they did it first, since sprint failed HSP+) and the fastest speeds posted to date. Wireless-ly speaking
You think Samsung is a bad company with bad service? Did you think maybe it's cause they arent American? Maybe the phones are more advanced then apples (tho they have the same CPU/Digitizer designs), more expensive to build, more features to support, and you're not paying them a personal fee of 100/200 for applecare to think you have some special advantage. you don't.
- Apple phones are cheaper to swap out hence why and how they do it
- Apple-care costs as much as your normal INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE, but they pre-sell it so you hardly notice
- Apple wins because FOR 90 DAYS you get apple-care at no cost
Just like people who have cars and choose to not follow the rules of the road and get in an accident and have crappy coverage or no coverage at all.... the system is going to ruthlessly punish you.
All the companies offer the same warranties, all companies have a 14 day return policy, all phones offered to you will be refurbished, the manufacture rebuild and reassembles refurbish devices, meaning the parts are new, similar to a car, it will either run better or worse...
no phone is water proof, no phone is safe from damage. UNLESS ITS 100% MANUFACTURE DEFECT

Americans seems to think we can ***** and cry about these business structures when we're racing to them with no education, but have the sales guy hammers things into you... Phones aren't poorly built, just poorly handled, Stop blaming the case companies, the phone companies, and the sales guy that SOLD you into thinking you could drop the phone all over the place.
I wanna say GREAT post for the simple fact, I hope others are far less naive and far less stupid. Be realistic and realize all of these businesses want your money.... nothing else. Half of you people got the phones to ''Fit In'' with the tech age, Claim it's your ''Business Phone'' Yet have no backup line meaning your business is minimal and not to be taken seriously.
