My Samsung S7 Edge has the screen cracked spontaneously. Today I was using my phone, after 15 min, I saw my phone cracked without a hit. My phone does not have signs of shock or scratches.
The same happened to me today. My Samsung S7 Edge has the screen cracked spontaneously. Today I was using my phone, after 15 min, I saw my phone cracked without a hit. My phone does not have signs of shock or scratches.
My galaxy s6 edge did the same thing twice within 2 weeks. The screen has like holes in it, as if were shot with a bob gun (figuratively).I'm posting this here to see if anyone else has experienced this. My wife has had a Galaxy S6 Edge for about 3 months now, and hasn't had any problems with the phone other than it gets pretty hot when charging. Yesterday, she showed me that her phone had an update but the battery was too low to initialize the update. At that time, the screen had zero cracks in it. She set the phone down on the couch next to me and went upstairs to get her charger. When she came back and plugged her phone in, the phone screen was completely shattered as if it had been dropped on gravel. I know 100% that from the time I looked at her phone and when she discovered it cracked, it had not sustained any kind of fall or impact. I am absolutely at a loss for how this kind of thing could have happened. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Hi. If you are interrested I'm trying to collect 10 People against the s-g in order to go to court with this case. Got 5 already
There's no chance of someone knocking it off the couch, or anyone hitting it and we don't own any animals. She placed it right next to me when I was sitting there. There was no one around me, I didn't touch it, it did not move from its original position, and my wife did not drop it while plugging it in. This is why I'm so dumbfounded: not five minutes before, the screen was fine, during this entire timeline the phone was in my presence, I did not witness any impact or dropping, and now the screen is inexplicably shattered.
My wife called Samsung about it. They said to go to Best Buy and talk to the Samsung rep there about it. The rep noted that the phone gets exceptionally hot when charging, and indicated that it could be related to the screen cracking like it did; the heat causing the integrity of the glass to be compromised (I'm pretty sure it takes a lot more heat than that to do that, but I'm not gonna argue if they're willing to replace it). He gave us a box to send it to Samsung, so we'll see what happens.
