That's unfortunate. Hope you get your issues sorted or fine a phone you really like. Just got mine on Friday and so far I haven't noticed any defects and my battery life seems to be on par with my s5. Really wanted the green edge, but caved a bought the black one sigh....

I wanted the green color too, but the S6 regular wasn't offered in that color.

It's most probably a bad sample of the phone. Over the years I have had to have a S4 mini replaced, S4 repaired and S5 with a broken USB port cover sent away for repair. All of those issues were fixed. But I stick with Samsung as I know they generally make quality products. I am loving my Note4 which I have had for a month now with no issues.

Get a replacement S6 and it should be better the next time around.

I was gonna say get a replacement and then do the tweaks... A lot of people are getting 4+ hours of screen time with this phone is it's definitely capable of it

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S6!

I got this right out of the box. No issues. I agree.

I tried to hold the power button for some minutes and suddenly the S6 logo appeared. I tested the phone. It works now. But still i will bring it back to the shop. Thanks for the replies.

why go from a note 4 to a gs6 first of all

Why not? Faster processor, better camera, better fingerprint scanner, wireless charging built in, dual mobile payment system, 3GB DDR4 RAM. Don't have to hold a tablet to your ear to make a call. Granted the GN4 has a bigger battery and does better multitasking. If you don't need the real estate or the digitized stylus. The GS6 could be for you.

I agree. Unless size and a pen are very important to you, the s6 is the more advanced, beautiful, and powerful device.

Hey Guys,

I moved from a Note 4 to a Galaxy S6 64 GB.
i am going to share what i have been through with this Galaxy S6.
When i opened the sealed box i discovered that the simtray was not made so perfectly(picture). At the first moment i was dissapointed, but than i was like : let me try this phone out.

I started the Galaxy S6. It loaded fast, i signed in with all my accounts. Everything seemed to be Oke. But than i saw that white was not real white in the corners at the bottom of the screen. It is pinkish and in the middle a bit yellow. it was not really an issue for me cause i am used to these problems on other devices( I have owned all the samsung S and Note series)
I was inspecting the glass at the back and i saw a scratch. i used my shirt to wipe it but than it seemed to be inside the glass. Hmmm. ( see the picture yourself)
I looked at the front glass and saw more problems, the right corner at the bottom is more inside the frame than the left corner. The left corner is in 1 line with the frame.( picture )
Than at the top : when i press on the screen , i can see the glass moving and even when pressing at the bezel side the glass moves.

I bought the S6 on the 21st of april , today the 26th of april the samsung gave more problems. The battery was more than 50 percent. i left it on the table and when i came back after 1 or 2 minutes to pick it up the phone couldnt go on anymore. I pressed and holded the power button, but no action. i tried to plug it into the the charger , nothing happened, not even the led light nor a screen that the phone is charging. I plugged in on my pc and no connection, the pc couldnt find any usb/media.

I have used all types of samsung phones, but this one is the Worst. i was so happy with my Note 4 but i saw the camera of the S6 and thats why i switched to the S6. The camera is really good and have never seen so beautifull selfies with a phone.

The phone has warranty so i will bring it there but wont get a new phone, they will repair it ( that what they( T-Mobile Netherland) told me through the phone.

* belief me, i am a Android-Fan and user and dislike apple ( for those who are thinking that i am bashing Android/Samsung)*

Are there more of you having problems with the S6?

why in the world did you downgrade to the S6 from the note 4?

I had an s6 that was a dud and so glad I exchanged it. Sucker had the scratched up screen issue. An imperfection to the screen under the glass and an imperfection under the glass on the back. Also, I could be imagining things, but for the life of me I could not get the fingerprint scanner to work as well as my replacement. The home button had a different feedback when clicked so maybe that is related.

Sucks some people have to play the return and exchange game but it is what it is. Millions of phones manufactured in different plants in different countries. Bound to be some inconsistencies. The worst is when companies have to source parts from different manufactures. Some people have RAM from company X while others got some from company Y. Or LCD panels from Sharp while others got some unknown manufacturer (looking at you htc).

Everything is true above, I moved from N4 to edge for all above reasons and very happy.

But it's pretty and looks like an iPhone. That's what samsung was going for this time. Form over function. Now Android fans can know how iphone fans feel.

Y'all do realize not every phone will cry perfect.....that's why return policies exist.

It does suck. Some wisdom I'd like to share after the nexus 7 touchscreen fiasco if I may:

I ended up returning mine 3x to the same store. Then for some reason I was reminded of a thing called "dye lots" for floor and wall tile when I was doing a reno. A dye lot is basically when you buy a batch of tiles and then at a later date get some more but they don't quite match up because they were part of a different batch or dye lot. So I applied this to gadgets under the possibility that defective units may also come in defective batches rather than a one-off defective unit and bought my last unit from an entirely different retailer in the hopes that they used a different supply chain than the one I kept getting bad units from. It paid off. Fluke? Maybe but I'm going to keep switching retailers from now on when I get repeatedly defective units from the same store chain.

I'd return the phone.... While all these companies have quality control over the entire process, some phones slip through the cracks. Though from the looks of your phone, I'd almost suspect that it was not really 'new'...

But bring it back, get a new one, enjoy.
