Oh my god ! Finally someone with terrible battery life like me ! I thought i was alone in the world but now we're two !!!!

No matter what i do i can't pass 3h30 sot with everything turn off and barely using the phone while every one here claims to get between 6 hours and 9 hours of screen time.

I downloaded GSam to watch it tonight. This very reason was why I left android last time; I spent too much time obsessing over crap last time too enjoy it LOL. Phone got me through a full LONG day of work so I'm not even going to act like im dissatisfied

I'm about 95% sure the reason by battery life doesnt stack up to some of these other guys is I have Call Recorder by Skvalex running in background and Network Monitor Mini running in background providing live data speeds on screen. If my battery life is the price I pay to have those two things, I'm fine. Just want to get the "most that's there" for my use case scenario.

I think we really needed two threads about Battery Life one each for each variant of phone.

I'm finding it hard to split into what stats are for which phone as not everyone is clarifying which one their using.

I'm picking up my s8 on Friday so have been watching threads like this to get a handle on battery life although i submit it is a subjective topic.

As long as I get through a day I'm ok with that.

Personally I turn off the % battery sign and enjoy the phone and only use it if I'm noticing a sudden drop in juice.

Pretty pleased with my standby. Last night before bed charged phone to 100%. Over the 4 hours 48 minutes I slept only lost 2%

The notification mess in your status bar is my biggest nightmare. I felt anxiety just by looking at your screenshot

It's hard for me to really see whether I have good or bad battery life because I work over night and mostly during the day I'm sleeping.

Does it meet your needs? if so then you have good battery life.

S8 plus... second day at work... not bad, on charge during the day while driving, because my car charger is also my dock. But I navigate and stream during that time and it is a slow charge.

I wouldn't see this life on my S7Edge. My office signal is bad, but we will be moving in a few months and then I will have wifi all day and better signal.

This is what I got since charging it yesterday evening. Did a lot of streaming through Samsung Internet. On track for 5 and a half to 6 hours of Sit. Best I've ever had in a phone.

I have to say I am very impressed with the battery life on my S8+. The only thing I have changed on it from its stock setting is the resolution my camera takes pictures at otherwise everything is set to stock. When I go to bed at night my battery has 40% life in it. I usually start using it from full charge at 6:30am, and go to bed between 10 and 10:30pm. I do have some apps running in the background like WeChat which I do get notices from throughout the day.

My previous phone the Note 5 was lucky to give me a day worth of charge and if I used the camera it would drain a lot quicker.

Facebook App is a battery killer!!! I use a web based app, called Swipe Pro. You can try the free version.

I don't have the Facebook app instslled, and yet i still get the worst battery life in the world

If it is system, you might want to do the clear cache process.

What does the sync do exactly ?

Notifies you as fb, Twitter and emails come in. Some are push and others are on intervals. With mine off my standby drain went from 5-10% to 2-3% over night.

I am getting good battery life with my AT&T Galaxy S8 so far.
