Galaxy S8+ Won't turn on/charge

Hi all,

My Galaxy s8+ (about three months old) randomly gave me the moisture detected in the charging port message yesterday and now that it's flat, it won't charge or vibrate/turn on. When I do plug it in, it gets hot. I've left it overnight to see if any potential poisture would disappear (even though I've never wet the phone and it's the middle of Winter here so humidity is no issue), no luck. I've tried using an earbud to gently clean the charging port, still no luck. Any tips?

Try blowing out the charging port with compressed air and or using a hair dryer on it.

Just gave that a try. I had the phone sitting in a warm spot for a few hours after giving the charging port a gentle wipe with a cotton bud and.. Still no dice. No vibration when I plugged it in, but it is fully flat so maybe I'll wait a few minutes and see what happens. The phone is pretty warm at the charging port though already

Better get it replaced. Hope they don't hassle you because of the moisture indicator. It is IP68.
