Galaxy watch Battery life

......... At just 24 hours you are trying to rush a charge in the AM or charging at work. That's, fine if you are an office worker but impractical otherwise. Look at Garmin and what they get?

As I said , I tend to stick it on while I'm showering and having breakfast ....This morning in half an hour or so it went from 63% to 100% , yesterday 75% to 95% so not really a "rush to charge", just a routine. If I forget it doesn't matter as it will easily last until the next morning.

As far a as practicality goes, If you NEED "days " between charge because you are no where near a power source or consider putting it on the cradle once a day "a hassle" then fair enough .
However, I would wager that a very high proportion of people who wear this sort of tech sit at a desk all day ...or at the very least in room with a mains outlet!

For my phone I have a Samsung Fast charger next to my bed and one on my desk at work and one in the car. My phone rarely goes below 50%. It has never occurred to me the S9+ will "only "last a day or so as it is always has a reasonable level of charge.

Anyway My post wasn't really about battery discharge rates more about battery longevity.

Wasn't specifically mean g you are rushing, poor wording, sorry. Made my tone sound harsh and it was unintended. If you have a half hour to an hour you can add a nice charge. When I wore a suit I showered every morning. Later I worked at a steel mill. No need. I was out the door ten minutes after waking. Lol. You are right though. In the old days rechargeables stored life. It was bad to always charge. These days they say if you have time charge and they will last longer.

I did a full reset last week (The option to kill the Daily Briefing wasn't available where it should be, after the reset it was - although it took some time funny enough). So I disabled the daily briefing and all automatic messages from Samsung Health.
Since last Sunday I loose 10-15% battery life every day, which is the best I've seen so far.

The other settings are NFC off, AOD off, HR at frequent, automatic training detection off, Wifi on automatic, Location off, Screen activation by bezel off, I sleep with Good Night Mode on, and with Register REM sleep off.

Before I put the watch on the charger yesterday before going to sleep, I was at exactly 6 days of battery life with still 13% left.

It was a quiet week though, no training done, no playing with the watch, a moderate amount of messages, but I am quite happy with the result.

Wow, this sounds really awesome! I have the 46mm LET model, still new, two charges so far, on firmware 4.0.0.1, and I can only manage to get 2.5 days with my normal use. The largest battery consumption for my watch is from Samsung Health, according to the wear app.

Can you briefly tell how did you "disabled the daily briefing and all automatic messages from Samsung Health"? From watch or from the Samsung Health app on the phone?

I've increase from 10k steps to 20k a day so now my battery life went down to 3 solid days.

42mm version Aod off, brightness at default, hr check every 10 minutes I think, 1 1/2 hour exercise daily with GPS and music, figure on about 15 hours per day and usually around 50% when placing in charger.

Hi all new member hear

Just ordered my own samsung Galaxy watch 42mm LTE on EE Seeing it's the new year and updates ect has anyone got at least 2 days out of the watch I will mostly have my phone with me but just incase if not I am a normal user will make a few text and listen to spotify on headphones i understand you have to tweak the settings ect as well

My last question EE Are saying in shops near me when it first came out it had it had battery problems but there saying that batch has been replaced now and as long as you do the update on the watch it will last

If it doesn't look to big on the wrist for your liking then go for the 46mm version, the 42mm with lte on always I doubt you would get 2 full days out of

Strange things going on with battery life, used to get 4 to almost 5 days, now getting 3 to about 4 days.... Stopwatch app absolutely kills battery. Haven't made any changes, feel some updates are not working for everyone the same way. Last update isn't working for me.

Stopwatch app is overkill. It keeps the screen on constantly and forces it to the top level of the UI. No idea why they have designed it like that. You would only use a stopwatch like that if you were timing an Olympic event, not boiling an egg.
OK, there might be other times, but they should have made such a feature optional.
