Galaxy wireless charging pad light never turns green from red

[Android Central Question]

New galaxy a32 not capable of wireless charging so bought adapter. Phone Charges but red light on pad never goes off. Works ok with my galaxy 9+ so it must be issue with adapter. Will this issue damage phone
