Game play is terrible on the S9. Is there a fix?

and also probably because mine is the Exynos version.... feel so cheated!!!

The exynos will still perform better than snapdragon 835 but not as good as 845 but check ur actual storage or maybe u have a app causing lag, if so i would recommend security master or cm security to fix the problem. I have an s9+ with the snapdragon 845 and i set my graphics with a gfx tool at complete max it it almost stays at 60 fps. If nothing helps i would get a new phone. That one could be a dud :/

Internet is fine. Wiping cache didn't help. I still have my old phone. The games I play on the S9 aren't bad. They appear almost normal, but when I compare it to my old phone, my old phone is much, much better.

The S9 is choppy. The animation skips frames and is too fast. If I didn't have my Sony phone to compare I would think the game play on the S9 is normal.

I'm pretty sure it's Samsung. They have always under performed.

Last sentence is wrong. Maybe you’re unfortunate with a damaged/faulty device, but I have an S7 Edge which runs an even older processor with an older GPU and it handles PUBG just fine (high settings)

Some Battery saver apps in addition to the apps krisqz mentioned can run in the background and cause overheating/lag...
