Games drain battery even though I'm not using them?

I checked my battery in settings and i see that my games drain a lot of battery even though they're closed. Like one game for example uses 26%, but it's closed it. Another game uses up 12%, but it's closed as well! How do I get the games to stop draining battery? Does force stop work?
Edit: nvm. Asked a friend who just came online on Facebook and he told me that the % is just overall usage so it's not like using up battery right now. lool

Welcome to Android Central! Yep, that's what I was going to tell you! But keep in mind that some games can in fact use battery when you're not playing them--specifically, the kind that refresh data in the background to give you notifications of achievements, or how other friends are doing in the game. If that stuff isn't important to you, go into the game's settings and see if that can be turned off.
