Well on the gamble.. I pre-ordered last night.... and.... My store got 1 in.... and had..... 2 pre-orders..

So none for me today.

I am hoping the July 31 and Aug 7 means that I just have to wait until next week...

It will give me something to look forward to. I could have just pre-ordered there from day one but I was sceptical about them actually showing up early.. So my fault..my loss

Yeah I preorderd on the 7th thinking I was gonna get it before the 31st then read my receipt saying the second wave and was like wtf then got the call from Gamestop

I got the same txt msg about 10 mins ago, and I was on the 2nd wave too. Gonna head down to pick it up when they open in 40 mins.

I was at Gamestop here around Detroit and they told me they got a notice and a posting on their computer Next shipments not until September

I heard the same thing while placing my pre-order at the Partridge Creek Gamestop (Clinton Township). The sales clerk said that they could be fulfilled as early as August 7, but early September is more likely.

I personally know next to nothing about retail, and less about shipping. But I do remember when the iphone 3g came out, I waited online and i asked a rep if i should be concerned that the phone might sell out by the time i got to the front of the line. the rep said no and that they were expecting another shipment within the next 24hrs. So im thinking, even though its different companys, why would it take Google/Asus three weeks to ship a few more tablets? Why wait untill August 7th?

Picked mine up Saturday. I was shocked as hell when they called Friday and told me the shipment would be in that morning. I was also apart of the second wave.

Just called my local gamestop on a gamble. They have a few local stores that have them, but only for pre order customers.

They have no clue when the next shipment will come in, well they most likely do but they didn't tell me that.

Guess i'm still just waiting on my pre order from GP

I did the same, the only thing that they could tell me was august 7th and that I probably wouldnt get it earlier then that.

Considering how the second wave was supposed to get it on the 7th I'd bet third wavers will get it earlier. I expect everyone will have one before the 30th. Obviously Asus made a million of them and are absolutely blowing away all estimated shipping numbers.

Don't be surprised if these aren't open sell by the 30th even. Some stores are selling them but that's a bit of a fluke since they are selling out so fast. By the end of the month you should be able to walk into Gamestop and see them on the shelf for general sale.

I called 3 local GameStops on 7/13 and was told that they had only received enough to fill the preorders, but that they were taking a new "second" wave of preorders the next morning.

I went in on Saturday morning and made my preorder. The "kid" told me that they were supposed to get the next shipment 7/17 or 7/18, but I'm cautiously skeptical.
