Android Central Question

I'm finding it incredibly difficult to find a decent gapless music player for Android.

The best of a bad lot so far is Poweramp; but what I can't stand about Poweramp is that the way it handles lyrics. You have to go to a menu in order to display the lyrics for the track you're on, you can't toggle lyrics on and off by touching the album art as you can in the Samsung stock player; and the lyrics for that track then continue to be displayed after the next track has started playing!!!! Also the lyrics often hide the controls. All in all a totally botched implementation of lyrics support.

Pulsar was recommended in another thread I saw but it actually doesn't support gapless playback properly - it adds a small gap between tracks.

All the other apps I've found that do support gapless playback properly don't display the slider in landscape mode. As some tracks I play are extremely long, without a landscape slider it's impossible to go back a few seconds. Some apps have no landscape mode at all, and others stupidly put the album art on the left of the slider when in landscape mode, so that the landscape slider only has half the screen available to it.

Is there any gapless player in existence that also supports a landscape slider when the phone is in landscape mode, and which supports lyrics properly? I don't understand which this is proving so hard to find - they seem to me to be extremely basic requirements.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Dave
