Not sure, but I did delete it just to be on the safe side... since I was told I had to do it going from 1.0.3 to 1.0.4... and of course the wipe of data/cache/dalvik cache between every update since.

I thought I was the only one... first day of install, my phone did this... second day, same thing. Phone would shut off and the only way to turn it back on was a battery pull... its kind of scary seeing your phone off and not being able to turn it back on:-\ A few days later... I had a random reboot. Since then... which is about a week later, no problems... everything works great. I thought it might be from upgrading to 1.0.6 from 1.0.5 without deleting the Bamf Extras folder which I forgot to do.

I did a clean 1.0.6 install. The battery life had nothing to do with this as when I finally got the phone to turn on again the % was the same as when I fell asleep. I woke up late for work this AM so a little pissed. I'll give it 1 more try before I switch to something else.

Yea... I did a clean install as well.. just didn't delete that extras folder. But if you're coming from Gingeritis and had the same problem, I'm guessing that's not the cause. I also flashed the new GB radios and Imos kernel right after the ROM... coming from MR2 so I was thinking at first that had something to do with it. Like I said though... I only had problems the first few days.. guess the ROM had to settle in.. everything is working great now.

Cyber and Dirt if you go to the dev's forum and search the .6 post for death sleep you'll find a few posts (19) on this subject. Several posts on the matter and there might be a fix in there. I don't know how you have your phones setup but you might find the answer there, HTH Also you should delete the Extras folder to be on the safe side as per OP. I also format the system, data, and cache in the Advanced. Mounts and Storage

Death sleep can usually be fixed by changing the minimum cpu speed to 368mhz. I use to have this problem with the ondemand governor but have not had this problem using interactivex. So possibly changing the governor might fix as well.

Thats actually one of the things I did so maybe thats why I'm not having those problems anymore. I use to have the cpu at 245.

Rooted and OTA do not play well together... OTA will disable Root AND cause all kinds of problems!!!

I have a few questions -- I looked through the threads quickly and couldn't find an answer, so I thought that I would just ask them here...apologies if they are answered elsewhere and I couldn't manage to efficiently find them.

I am currently running das BAMF 4.9 on my TB. I love it, but I have certain issues with it that I would like to resolve and I am hoping that wiping my device clear and installing Forever 1.0.6 will fix my issues.
....will this new ROM...

1. Allow NFL to work "out of the box" or are there other "tricks" that I have to employ to make it work? If applicable, what is the best way to do this? Also, does My Verizon work?
2. My screen constantly shows the white HTC background page and refreshes my screens. I think this is called "redrawing," but I could be mistaken. This is extremely annoying. Is this fixed in this new ROM?
3. I have had so many calls go through to the other person; however, they cannot hear me, so I have to hang up the phone and redial to connect with the other person.
4. Does Google chat with video work?
5. Sometimes in 4.9 my WIFI will not connect for whatever reason, so I have to turn it off and then turn it back on.
6. What are the features that DON'T work with this ROM that do work with 4.9?
7. Should I install the latest LTE and CDMA radios?

Yes.. you can go from 1.0.1 to 1.0.6. Wipe data and caches for the ROM.... Patches... yes, in CWM.. just wipe caches.
It was only 1.0.5 that you had to worry about... it needs to go over 1.0.4

Wiped the caches and downloaded the vm patch and now the phone is stuck on the htc screen???
