Gear S Plugin Memory Hog

Anyone else notice that the Gear S Plugin is a memory hog in their phone? I checked today and it is using 7.81 GB on my phone. I believe if I clear the data it will mostly empty it but it will also reset my watch to factory and I have to start from scratch. Any other way to free up the memory?

Just checked mine. It is using 221 MB. That's quite a difference.

You could try emptying just the cache and see if that helps. I'm on Android 10. Go to Settings/Storage/Other Apps/Gear S Plugin/Clear Cache.

My cache is 67.89 MB, User Data 67.89 MB

I regularly clear my cache, it's only 172 KB. Thinking I might just bite the bullet and clear my data and re-setup my watch.

Decided to reset it after backing up. Back up and running in under an hour. 176MB now.

Glad you got it sorted.
Not only is it not in my top ten, it's not even on the list and I rotate three watches, throughout the day, using one for sleep tracking, all night.

It is creeping up and is at 195mb so far, we'll see if it gets huge again.
