We definitely understand where you are coming from, bcg416. In the case of your carrier, they offered either the Gear VR or the Gear S2. In their specific case, if one gift ran out, the other was substituted in. Had both gifts run out, then the promotion would have substituted in a different gift entirely. While we realize this wasn't the gift you would have prefered, there was a very limited number of the Gear S2s for this promotion so they moved to the other gift option. The Gear VR is the standard at which Samsung reserves the right to substitute for another item of equal or greater value in the event of item unavailability, since this was the common denominator of the promotion carrier wide. Let us know if theres anything else that we can do for you!

I have been a die hard Samsung buyer for quite some time. If this is true my loyalty will certainly be changing.
So even though Samsung themselves aren't responsible for actually handling the promotion because you didn't get a freebie (albeit a very nice one) you're gonna abandon Samsung? Entitled much? It's like getting mad at Kellogg because walmart didn't stock the product right. Lol
You were fine with the s5 but a smart watch enticed you to spend $800 or so (over time) for the phone plus service? Seems a smarter de I soon would've been to just get the water heater and be content with the s5. But I'm guessing like me you were coming to the end of your s5 contract and we're gonna get the s7 anyway. Entitled customers lol
Received s7 on 3/16. Submitted for gear s2 on3/18 because on 3/17 showed out of stock. approved on3/18. Got approved email 4/7. Had all the funky status changes the entire time. No tracking info on fdm or from prize joke company. Called fedx I have a pkg coming tomorrow weighing in at
.9lbs. I have nothing else being shipped so it has to be the watch. I'll post pictures tomorrow if I get it.good luck everyone

Just noticed in Delivery Manager that my delivery date is now Thurs, 4/28. So they did change it when they picked it up.
