So as we all know, you can't move widgets, or root apps to your sd...
Well my question is: Why not root apps? I know they won't "function" properly, but why? I had a few of my root apps on my sd and they worked fine.

What do you mean by "root apps"? I can move orbot and connectbot just fine. It's up to the app dev on whether an app can be on SD or not

nahhh.. like, the general rule is to not move widgets, launchers, and apps that require root permissions onto your sd. even though it's possible, you shouldn't. I wanna know why :0 is it just because apps run a bit slower on the sd?

Partly because the SD card is not ready when you first reboot, also, it can be removed.

Also, I don't think all app makers understand how to properly make them work from there even if you disregard the first things I said. I have some that let me do it, but they were always losing their icons because the launcher thinks they are gone. This happens on Pandora widgets, or at least used to.

Sometime restarting the launcher corrects it, sometimes it doesn't. A perfect example of this is Soundhound's open and immediately search icon.

That's why I like link2sd, it can be temperamental at times, but you can put apps with Widgets on your sdcard with out issues
