Get a free Gear S2 with the purchase of a Verizon S7/S7 Edge

Should be getting my Gear S2 this afternoon - received FedEx tracking number last night. Oddly, the dimensions are 9x7x6 in. and 2.3lbs. That seems a bit large, but maybe it's just placeholder data.

Presentation box, accessories, charger, S2 watch, and packing materials to protect your prized S2, so that would be about the ballpark dimensions and weight. Congrats on finally getting your S2. *impatiently waiting for mine to be shipped, I'll have to go paint something again so I can sit there and "watch" it dry*

I submitted 3/10 and have an est ship date of 4/1 but no sign of it shipping. I called and they have no more info to tell me about it other than they are allowed 4-6 weeks. They don't have contact with the fulfillment center. They will ship when they decide to ship. But I should get an email with tracking number when it does.

Try that Samsung Promo's link I posted (up the page ^^^) Also there have been some people that received their S2 watch even though that site still showed "pending". Hopefully you get yours before they run out. I'm still waiting for mine too.

Of those who already received the watch, did it come "signature required "?

Also does it come activated where I'm going to get charged the $5 a month data fee from Verizon. I do not want to pay for 3g and only want to use the Bluetooth

Well this sucks for me, I submitted 3/9 still with no news except that it's been approved, and people that submitted 3/10 and 3/11 have already received information that a printing label has been created at least.

I would imagine they would want proof it was delivered, and a name. (in case the cellular provider is keeping tabs on these watches, especially with the unit value being over 300 bucks)

From what I have read, you can use it "through your device". According to my cellular provider (Verizon) your cellular device must be turned on, connected to their network, and then you can use your S2 watch through your device account. The info also states even if you are not near your cell phone, the watch will connect to their network. I'm assuming it's a 3G connection, from what I've been reading. Ok just read on another thread that you can use Bluetooth to use phone features on the watch, OR, pay another 5 bucks a month to add it to your plan. Since I carry the phone with me everywhere, I guess all I'd need is bluetooth or just use phone to make & take calls.

Mine came activated. The receipt even has the phone number assigned to it listed.

Can you deactivate it or turn off that service? I don't need or want it. I also didn't see it as part of the terms of the agreement so hopefully it's a easy fix

Mine arrived FedEx, no signature required. It's the 3G/GPS version (unexpected!) and did not come activated - there was a card with activation instructions and info about the $5/mo charge, and when the watch boots it has a notification to activate the 3G. I doubt I'll be doing that. Ran through all the updates/etc and now charging it a bit while I'm back at the office. Nice piece of hardware so far!

I will do the same. I don't see the value in activating and most of the value you get without 3g.
