Getting a Galaxy Fold?

I thought about if I would ever want this and then thought - well, if I really was looking for a tablet and this would kill two birds with one stone, I figured, "maybe?" - but then I would kill the battery quickly and it wasn't big enough of a tablet for me, etc... I have concerns about the durability of the fold and there is an obvious crease too that might bug me. So, no - I don't think I'm in the market for this.

I don't mind them coming out with it and not sure why some people hate on it. This is how future technology is born and eventually things would either refine or get canceled. A lot of the negative comments on the Fold are similar to the negative comments when the first Note came out.

If it did both things well, but it doesn't. Besides fold appearance and durability it has a few major negatives for me.

The screen is too small as a phone.

It is also too bulky and heavy as a phone.

Case and screen protection will be practical.

I'm interested for sure and I signed up for the pre-pre-order. The only thing I'm hesitant about is that it's not rated IP68. I work outside all summer long and I need a phone that is water- and dust-resistant. I don't like owning two phones at the same time so that's not an option.

I may just pass on the Galaxy Fold and pick up the S10 5G instead since Minneapolis is one of the few spots in the country that actually does have 5G.

I never was interested in the Fold and I don't think I will be. Doesn't seem very practical and there is no way in hell I am spending that much money for something made of plastic and that looks cheap. I like the look of the Note series and I hope they keep these style of phones in the future because I don't want no type of phone that folds like that. In my opinion, it's stupid and bound to break due to lack of protection. It's just an overpriced piece of technology that I never will be interested in

I love new tech and can't wait until the fold is in stores so I can check it out, but highly doubt I'd pay 2k for a smartphone.

Nope not interested in. Overall its to pricey for what it is . Also having a crease on the screen.

S-pen on a plastic screen is a mistake waiting to happen.

More to the point t it's a 1st Gen so it's a no from me right now.

Bring on the Note 10. ;)

If the S10 5G has a better Camera & Bigger Battery

I think i will wait for the Fold 5G

Nope. No interest yet. The price of the Note is getting a little unbearable. This foldable phone is a total niche device. I have no use or desire to have a tablet. So, maybe my opinion is a little biased.

No for me, to much, and it's first generation. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on another phone this year, it will be for a note 10. I doubt I'll be buying that either, it's going to have to have a lot more upgrades over the s10+ then the s pen. I'm suspecting that it won't.

I'm not a Note person and don't plan on one, however if they added something ground breaking (no folds please) to the Note 10 I might consider it.

I'm the same, I can live without the s pen, but if there's something big on the note 10 I will consider it. And bigger screen isn't groundbreaking to me, phones are large enough far as I'm concerned. Need bigger screen, get a tablet.

Yup...in my line of work I carry some sort of bag to and from work so carrying a tablet or a laptop is not an issue. I get the novelty draw or to the desire to buy it as a conversation starter as someone has expressed
I don't need to impress anyone except the man in the mirror or should I say selfie cam.
