So i put my phone down for the night after charging to 100% .

Im on the hd revolution rom, battery stats wiped, extended battery.

So explain to me how my gnex drained off 12% in 4 hours on airplane mode?

For comparison, my dx used 12% in 3 days on airplane mode running liberty while sitting in my nightstand.

Whats up with that?

Wifi off as well? Anything running in the background?

I can leave my phone in standby for that time and lose around the same percent of battery with wifi and data enabled, so something must be up.

Do you have a set cpu screen off profile set up? That seems to help a lot. Set it to 350/350 on demand.

nope.
Wifi off, nothing running.
I dont have setcpu on the gnex and im not familiar with setting the values.
I do have the paid version of jrummy android oc though. Not sure if that is compatible

Two things:
1. I have seen this with other phones in airplane mode.
2. I think there is a problem with the battery indicator on the GN. My phone pretty consistently chews up the first 20% of the battery in 2 or 3 hours, but still makes it through 16 or more hours usually with more than 50% left. Also, as soon as I unplug it, it says 98%. I have two batteries, and it does this with both.

Yeah, I've noticed those things also. My phone seems to drain quickly from 100% without doing anything. when it reaches a certain percentage it stays there. I think it's the way the software is showing the battery usage. With the Iphone, it will sit at 100% for a very long time; even when I'm using it.

Having said that, the GSM version's battery last a lot longer. It's about the same as my iphone 4.

It's worth checking if he has "profiles." If need be you can get set cpu for free, it's posted somewhere on xda, just google the setcpuapk.

Basically you just open it up, auto detect speeds, then click the profiles tab. From there, drag the max cpu to 350 (same as the minimum) and set the gov to on demand. This way the screen will use a lot less cpu when off and it should help with standby drain.

You might want to see your battery history "Settings>Battery>Click Graph."

Check at the bottom part "Awake." See if your GN has been completely in sleep during that 4 hours. If it was completely asleep, then I would suspect the battery display may not be accurate. You may need to delete battery stat file and recaliberate your battery.

If you see your GN awake during that 4 hour, something must be going on. Your phone must be running some hidden or unknown process while its screen and radio is turned off. If you stop that process, it will get back to normal.

Yea the battery indicator is weird with airplane mode. Mine was down to 16% after watching a movie and playing some games on a flight, so I powered it off. After landing I powered it back up and it was at 48%. It continued draining normally from 48% after that.

The title of this thread sounds like someone complaining about losing a flight simulator battle.

On a related note... I've seen the same thing. Android OS using up the battery regardless of data connections or Wi-Fi being on.
