Droid is a Verizon brand, not exclusive to Moto, and the Droid Charge is made by Samsung. No need to argue 'bout which phone is the flagship here. All due respect.. but.. According to you just because it wasn't made by Motorola it is "Just another Android phone". So because Motorola just happened to call their phone a droid its the original? If I remember right the HTC Dream was the first Android based smartphone, not the droid.
In the respect that the Thunderbolt is the FIRST 4g lte smartphone for Verizon I would say that it is in many ways more of a "flagship" phone than any of the droid phones.
Looked it up and found this.
"The first commercially available phone to run Android was the HTC Dream, released on 22 October 2008."
The Droid didn't come out till mid October of '09.
And for the record, the Droid Charge does not have GB either.
Regards.

The current lock screen is aging, change is good, and new is usually better than old.
I usually don't comment on stuff like this, but really, the kick stand is the deal breaker. I like HTC over Motorola and all but something like the kickstand seems so inconsequential out of all the specs you could choose from. Maybe It's just the drinking, but Jesus people.I know it's subjective, but the Droid branding makes no difference to me (or whether something is considered a flagship device). I've looked at pretty much every phone out there, even the upcoming Bionic and none of them hold any appeal to me over the Thunderbolt. The Bionic is the closest maybe, but it doesn't have a kickstand which is a deal breaker for me. After this latest MR2 update, the ONLY thing I'm waiting for is 4G LTE!![]()

Will the inevitable Gingerbread update for the TB Include Sense 3.0, or is that destined for a separate update?

I agree. And I don't use it for all the things you do. All I use it for is to stand it up right in front of me at my desk while it is charging. I can easily check it for info at a good viewing angle while it is charging. Just like a dock, except I prefer vertical. I also use it as a speakerphone while on the kickstand on my desk. I find myself using that kickstand a huge amount. And initially I didn't even care that it had a kickstand. Funny...Call me crazy! But, I'm dead serious about the kickstand! It's a killer feature!
