If you don't want the GNex, I can understand, but I cannot understand getting a Rezound when HTC is about to come out with new, better phones shortly. They will be previewed at the MWC from 2/27-3/1.Rezound it is then. Thanks to all that had input on this. For me the rezound will be a better choice.
Galaxy nexus biggest advantage is also its weakness... most apps are not optimize on ICS.
I have realized that is the issue - VZW's 4G LTE network is in its infancy and has growing pains. So look past dropping data. I fear that might effect anyone on any LTE phone until LTE gets more mature. Or not so much dropping data....but what happens after you drop data, how does it recover, how many times do you drop data, etc.

The Rezound is old technology, heavy, thick, ugly, crappy battery life and unviewable outdoors in sunlight. Just wait for the new HTC phones, they will be an improvement over the Rezound, although I caution against going with a quad-core phone until we see how their battery life is.
Quad core battery life I'm sure will be worse. Personally every time a new phone comes out there are always issues. It's trying to find the one with least amout is the challenge.
Their point is is that the rezound is off HTC's radar once they have a new flagship. Even so, the rezound isn't even on their first round of ics updates. It's a stellar phone, but if updates and dev community are important to you, I'd go with a nexus device.
Trust me, I traded in my Rezound for the gnex, and I'm so glad I did when I read their update schedule. It further cements my decision to stay with nexus devices only.

Dropped data and high pitch screech on calls is an issue with me. Especially since alot of you already had the phones replaced and the issue is still there.
I'm in Houston on a GNex and I rarely get dropped data. (Although it happens, and will happen on the Rezound or any other 4G phone.)
As for a "high pitch screech", I have no idea what you're talking about.
There are a ton of people with the high pitch screech sound on there phones. Just Google it and you will find out. I'm sure your phone will do it soon enough.
Seems like alot more then 10 to 15 from reading other forums. Even the guy at Verizon knew of that issue and said it should be fixed soon.
I have no doubt that it's more than 10 to 15, but still a lot less than what a ton of people would imply. Based on the satisfaction polls you can find here, I'd call it a small minority, with the vast majority of GN owners happy with their properly functioning phones. I'd guess it's just as likely (if not more likely) related to an app conflict on those phones as it is a hardware problem.
Having said that, if you want to think it's a rampant problem, get the rezound. Though I'm not an HTC fan and would only buy the GN again if I was looking for a new phone today, I'm sure it's a fine device...most all of them are. Besides, since no one here is going to be using your phone, I doubt anybody is all that concerned with what you decide to get. Play with both devices and pick the one you like the best.
Do you to happen how many days Verizon will give you to try out the phone?
Cool your jets and wait for the new HTC devices to come out. Then try the GNex and if you don't like it exchange it for one of the new HTC phones.OK. Guess it can't hurt to try it.
