Give some reasons to get the Nexus over the rezound?

There are a ton of people with the high pitch screech sound on there phones. Just Google it and you will find out. I'm sure your phone will do it soon enough.

I had that sound on my first nexus. Sounds like feedback of some sort. Got another one and its been perfect. As a bonus new one has been oc to 1.5 with no issue. Only achieved 1.5 on glados or whoever offers live oc any higher it reboots. But I run 1.42 without issue old one couldn't so I mean there is silver lining lol

What are you getting for battery life on the stock battery? I may get the extended later if I like the phone.

Depends how much I mess with it. Normal use I'm getting about 15 hours with 4 hours screen on time. Mostly wifi but 3g I get 3 to 3 1/2 hours of screen on time.

Oh this is extended battery my bad. I've gone over a day but same screen on time.

Seems low,but I'm pretty much always near a outlet so hopefully that will be ok. I am a mod/heavy user, texts and games.

The Rezound doesnt have ICS yet and even when it gets it wont be the true vanilla flavor .
Also unless you root the Rezound its got a bunch of bloatware.

Not to nitpick, but if you wanna say it doesn't have ICS, yet. That's fine, to be fair, just point out that you can have it on the Rezound, lickety split, if you root. Just as you did for the bloatware part. Thankfully, HtcDevs stole a bit of the ICS shine, in giving us the key to unlock. I've been rocking a "vanilla" ICS ROM on my Rezound for several weeks now. Aside from BT not working and some animations it's been flawless.

I like reading comparisons on devices but I hate when people state opinions as facts. Going by specs, the Rezound has the superior screen, undeniably. GN has superior technology, Amoled, in the screen though. To me the only thing it really it comes down to between both devices, in an aesthetic aspect, is screen size and more importantly, color preferences. Saturated vs more realistic. You can say it washes out in sunlight, all you want, which is very true. However, a 1 second adjustment of the brightness level negates that statement so it's a moot point realistically.

Well I'm gonna go for it. Heck I got 14 days to try it out. Hopefully I won't have any of the issues described in previous threads.

If you want to talk about rooted rezound vs rooted gn....there is ABSOLUTELY no comparison. The developer support is pathetic on the rezound. The sheer amount of quality roms, kernels and mods blows the rezound away.

You should see what the custom roms are capable of 2 months after the gn release. You would be floored.

Even at the brightest setting, the Rezound is unviewable outdoors in sunlight due not only to the LCD screen but to the ridiculously reflective piece of glass they put on the screen. It is like a mirror. All you see in sunlight looking at the Rezound is your own face reflecting back at you.

Great if what you were looking for was a very expensive mirror, but not so great if you need to surf the internet outdoors in sunlight.

It's not low at all for a dual-core, 4G LTE phone - it is normal. The only dual-core 4G LTE phone that has a decent battery life is the Razr Maxx (which is a much better phone than the Rezound).

well its not my opinion, its fact that samsung makes Samoled, SuperClear LCD and S-LCD.
if u google on sony s-lcd, u'd know that its a co joint company between sony and samsung and that company is located inside samsung electronic facility in korea.
basically samsung developed 7th generation TFT LCD tech called S-LCD, sony offered $ for co joint since it would cost them more to doevelope on their own, and samsung needed to lower cost to expand product line. so that became name of company.
Ceo of that company was from samsung and samsung hold 50%+1 share, until early this year..
Sony sold rest of share so its owned by samsung 100%.

now.. do me a favor.. if u make all 3 of those displays, what would you use for your top of devices?

btw no displays have pure real color.. Samoled is 120% saturated but LCD is like 80% less saturated of standard color.

Can't Motorola phones. That would be my last choice.

Whatever the case is....after using a Droid 1, Droid X1, G Nex, RAZR, Rezound...

I prefer Amoled. I used to be a big fan of LCD...until I actually saw Amoled in person...lol.

It's a mirror if you leave it to auto adjust. I don't use anti glare screen protectors and I've never had to crank the brightness over 65% under direct sunlight to see screen contet so I'm not sure what your own experience has been like.

The guy in the VZW store had a Rezound as his personal device. I went outside with him while he smoked a cigarette and he let me play with his phone. I played with the brightness and it did not vitiate that reflective screen. This was in bright sunlight, not shade, but here in Florida, bright sunlight is the case 75% of the time.

I asked the VZW guy about it and he admitted it was not a great device outdoors.

Like I said in my earlier post, they used the best tech. available in terms of screens on the GN. That doesn't automatically mean it beats LCD. I wouldn''t have any problem w/ GN owners touting a superior screen is Sammy would've used Super Amoled for Googles phone. Personally, I think color is a huge thing for stock device owners only. Rooted users can tinker with color capacitation w/ 3rd party software/apps. So it's fairly simple to find perfect saturation levels for viewing.

I agree w/ the position, it's not an ideal screen outdoors. GNex is the winner out of the box, but I personally find reading these things funny because I had no issue seeing the screen under cloudless sky, skiing in Crested Butte, at elevation. Just wanted to point out that it's not a problem for every Rezound owner. I don't think I'd be happy about battery drain if I had to use my phone outdoors alot, though.
