Hey All,
US user here. I had originally purchased the AT&T H810, but recently picked up the H815 EUR model because I really wanted the FM radio function and the ability to unlock the bootloader, etc. As I started using the H815, I noticed a couple of things that are a little different than the H810, mostly in the lockscreen area:
- On the H810, when you use the power button or knock-on to activate the screen, then pull down from the top before you enter your pattern/passcode, you get the quick settings menu. When I swipe down on my H815 running V10D-EUR-XX, the quick settings menus starts to appear, but then quickly fades to show the current user. There's nothing I can do from this screen other than view it. Tapping the user doesn't do anything either.
- On the H810, when screen security is set to Pattern Lock, I was also able to select a screen swipe effect so that if I turned my screen back on before the timer locked it out, I would be able to use the cool little animations. On the H815, the only way to get the screen swipe effect option to appear is to select Swipe as the security method. When I select Pattern or Password, it's not visible.
Any reason why these functions would be different between devices?
Could it be a bug in the software I'm running?
I've tried playing around with the settings, but I can't seem to get the H815 to match what I was able to do on the H810.
If anyone knows if it's possible to change these things, your help would be much appreciated!!
I have the quick settings menu appear with no problems, I'm not using the stock launcher though.
I use one called Zeam Launcher, its the smallest launcher anywhere and has little permissions.
Anyway I think using this launcher allows me to see my notifications and quick settings with no problems.
