Global unlocked G4 (LG-H815) users....

Hey All,

US user here. I had originally purchased the AT&T H810, but recently picked up the H815 EUR model because I really wanted the FM radio function and the ability to unlock the bootloader, etc. As I started using the H815, I noticed a couple of things that are a little different than the H810, mostly in the lockscreen area:

- On the H810, when you use the power button or knock-on to activate the screen, then pull down from the top before you enter your pattern/passcode, you get the quick settings menu. When I swipe down on my H815 running V10D-EUR-XX, the quick settings menus starts to appear, but then quickly fades to show the current user. There's nothing I can do from this screen other than view it. Tapping the user doesn't do anything either.
- On the H810, when screen security is set to Pattern Lock, I was also able to select a screen swipe effect so that if I turned my screen back on before the timer locked it out, I would be able to use the cool little animations. On the H815, the only way to get the screen swipe effect option to appear is to select Swipe as the security method. When I select Pattern or Password, it's not visible.

Any reason why these functions would be different between devices?
Could it be a bug in the software I'm running?

I've tried playing around with the settings, but I can't seem to get the H815 to match what I was able to do on the H810.

If anyone knows if it's possible to change these things, your help would be much appreciated!!

I have the quick settings menu appear with no problems, I'm not using the stock launcher though.
I use one called Zeam Launcher, its the smallest launcher anywhere and has little permissions.
Anyway I think using this launcher allows me to see my notifications and quick settings with no problems.

Are you on the 815? If you are, could you do me a favor and go back to the stock launcher and let me know what you find? I'm curious to see if what I'm experiencing is a bug with my software, or if it's just how the 815 is set up.

I have the H815 but the version I had before I rooted was VX10b-EUR-XX you said yours is V10D-EUR-XX.
So we wouldn't be able to see if its the same issue.
I am now on V10c-EUR-XX rooted.

I plan on buying the H815 to use with MetroPCS which is now with T-Mobile. Has anyone used the international version with this carrier? I have been with Metro for 8 years and have great service everywhere, even in buildings and the middle of nowhere Indiana. So want any feedback before I purchase from Ebay.

I'm using it with Metro here in NYC and it works great. Not sure how it'd work for you in your area. It connects with band 4 which I believe isn't great with wall penetration but I've had good service for the most part.

ok lets try this again, I couldn't get the quote working... Are these speeds with ATT? Where do you live? I have ATT and never see these speeds but I'm also using a galaxy S5 active...

Those were speeds with tmobile here in NYC. Not sure about ATT but you should have your APN settings set up correctly to work with your carrier.

I travel between countries frequently.

Here's a little fun-fact. While using a local SIM card in Asia, my G4 showed a little "4G+" symbol.

Looked it up and it turns out "4G+" is LTE-A.

I was finally able to test out an LTE-A network and it was pretty quick.

Hi. I'm in U.S. and got marshmallow around a month ago on my H815. It wasn't through OTA though, you have to connect to LG bridge
