GN Release date?

UPDATE:
I talked to my friend this morning, and he said it is going to be released WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK!
They are always to be delayed upon the releasing date, however, this time he was 80% sure that it's going to be the next wednesday.
btw, i yelled at them when i found out that their team was responsible for 2.2 Froyo update for Fascinate. i was like "DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PPL ARE WAITING FOR THE UPDATE!?!!? THEY COULD STRANGLE YOU!!!!!"


My friend who works for samsung said that they are still testing the device. He does not know the exact release date (hope it's nov.18th)yet except it will launch in Nov., however, he said most likely they are going to release GN first then keep updating if errors were found.

We ALL have our fingers, toes, heck even eyes crossed(do i look funny to you?) but seriously i hope you are right. i cant stand my broken albeit working screen on my mytouch slide/Tmobile any longer. I just dont get how an American based company can allow Verizon not to launch their flagship phone the same dang day as the UK gets it. It just baffles me. Google needs to act like Apple in this regard, it's our phone, we want it to hit the market on this day no questions asked. Capish?

Until the release date is announced it will be hard to merge all the speculation threads. Hopefully we get an eta this week and we can start to put all these discussion behind us.

yeah because look at the delays like bionic and thunderbolt that still came with a ton of updates. Screw that release the phone now and push out updates. It is a google phone not like we would be waiting long.

Verizon released the Bionic with bugs and they are still not fixed. They might as well just put this one on the shelf even though its not perfect.

I have a friend who builds the GN by hand piece by piece and has no help. He is trying to get some elves to help but being so close to Christmas they are really busy! He can only build about 2 an hour and is working 25 hour days so this may take awhile to get out. Just saying.

I could have sworn someone just posted pictures that show they just shipped 100000+ units to Verizon this morning. How is your friend still testing them exactly?

Because the testers will still have phones and the phones that are shipped most likely will get an ota as soon as they are activated, that happens a lot with new phones. They push more updates to testers to get it as polished as they can and fix any issues the phones may have come launch day.

All samsung mobile employees are still using them for a quality check and try to find any unknown bug. But i guess they are almost done and they now are focusing more on new GTab that's going to be released soon.
