gnex 4.1.2 lags

I just updated to 4.1.2 and I noticed some serious slow down on my initial boot. Currently unlocked and rooted.

I noticed after a fresh reboot, my gnex lags like crazy. Opening apps is slow, navigating through the menus shows tremendous lag, apps sometimes hang like its waiting for something, etc. I noticed that after opening apps several times repeatedly, the phone seems to quicken up, like it caches everything I do. Around 10-15 minutes in it would go back to its normal state - minimal lag similar to how I first got the phone.

Is this normal behavior? I've been checking and deleting my apps to see if I somehow got a bug somewhere. I hate lag.

Fwiw I've installed trinity kernel to see if things would quicken up. When I was on 4.1.1 it was never this slow in performance.

There's a post in the N7 section about an app that fills your storage then unfills it. With the new checks in 4.1.2, this supposedly helps with the lag. Worth a shot

Maybe its your ROM. I'm on cm10nights... stock kernel . No change in speed. Only Google now responds better

I'm currently on stock ROM, only thing I've changed is unlocked bootloader, rooted and installed trinity kernel.

I have never had so many "xxx app has stopped responding" pop ups in my life! And a lot just using the browser.
