it works now. it had to do with Koush's servers from what i heard. right now im running Pete's BB with nextheme skin. it runs pretty good but im not sure if im going to stick with it. i kind of want to try suculent desire but i cant find any pics online. i usually like to hear some feedback or see what it is before i install a rom just so i know what to expect, especially because i hate, hate, hate, H A T E!!!! having to reinstall my apps and signing into all of the apps haha.
as to the roms that you have mentioned; Cyanogen's is the base of most roms out now and he set the standard for rom quality so you can never go wrong with that. JRummy's roms are all themed cyanogen roms just with different colors and some extra's and he also removed certain apps which is good. the only problem i have found while using any of JRummy's roms is that if you want to change your rom you are going to have to reinstall a clean cyanogen rom and then install the new rom. If you don't then no matter what you try to load it will go back to JRummy's even if you wipe device. i dont know why it does this but it is somewhat of an aggravation. Pete's BB is a pretty solid build especially with the theme options. it is def a little more simple than cyanogen's but i think that also adds to the smoothness a bit. the device doesnt have to process some of the extra thing as well as it seems to do a little better with temps. the only thing that is kind of annoying is that since he recomends to only use the kernals that he selected the slot breakups are different then what im used and prefer. his 7 slot 1 ghz lv kernal breaks down as 250/500/550/600(i think its 600)/750/900/1000. i usually like to set it to 550-800 but with this kernal i can't do it.
overall each theme in rom manager is a well build one. it all comes down to preference and in most cases (since 95% are all themed cyanogen roms) it's is just different colors and icon skins.
your best bet is to check out cyanogen's forum and looks at all of the theme threads and see which one will interest you the most. trial and error until you find the best one for your interest. if you make a backup before you install a new rom (even if you wipe or not) you can always go back to that backup and the best thing about it is that it backs up all of your apps and data and settings so you don't have to re-do anything.
