I have a a Note8, but it works the same way.
You need to be in an app already, hit the recents button and then long press on the app you want in split screen.

OMG. I just fell in love with my Note 9 all over again. I had struggled with the notification shade FOREVER. I always had beautiful dark themes. I always took the time to match the colors exactly on all my widgets and my quick settings. THe phone would be beautiful... until I pulled down the shade. I hated seeing that blaring, bright WHITE background when everything else was so absolutely perfect.
Also, it looks really premium with transparency and a blur. So much more soothing on the eyes. It's less jarring.
I'm playing with how it changes my recent apps, too. It looks pretty sharp. Not sure if it's more efficient though. Seems to me it will take longer to see things, but it looks pretty.
Not all apps are supported by split screen.
You have to be in the the app. Then, you click the recents button. Then, you select a different app from the recents by long pressing? Did you try it exactly like that? You can't select the app you are currently in.Understood, but calculator, Samsung Internet, and Samsung email are, and none of them will go splitscreen on my Note9 with TaskChanger enabled.
Had dark options for agesfrom Samsung themes....here's mine View attachment 289932

Hopefully, this helps.
Yes I realise but I've found goodlock to be too buggy in the past and for little benefit.....bit like using swift black with substratum.....happy with sammy theme for nowThose are your quick settings. This changes the actual notifications which even with a dark theme we could not changes. I used an editor that allowed it, but it left the writing grey. This made it still very difficult to see. Now we can change the color of both the quick settings that you showed in your pics and the actual notifications. It's fantastic!

Once bitten, twice shyGoodlock is definitely not buggy anymore. I've been using it since I got my Note 9 and it runs smooth.
Can U show a pic of your "blacked" out notifications? Thanks! This is what I've been looking for to complete my theme!
