Google Fold or Hold for Fold 5

Just refreshing this thread a bit

Is it worth getting the Fold 4 currently; or hang fire for the Fold 5?

Wondering if the Fold 4 prices will come down too?

I'll be going with the Pixel Fold

The front screens on the Samsung Folds are too narrow for the size of my hands and being back with a Pixel 7 Pro; I much prefer Vanilla Android over the bloated Samsung experience

I'm with you on the cover screen (hard to type on). Although the other foldables seem to be going wider, Sammy basically keeps the same form factor.

Just be known....on the review and tech podcasts there's been alot of reports of screen failures!

It's a brand new device; they've all had issues...

If any issues arise it'll be under warranty, so it's a 'non-thing' for me personally

Having used the Samsung fold and although the Google Pixel has some features missing that you would find with the Samsung phone. I enjoy this pixel fold tremendously, especially when on the go. It's so much easier to use... Samsung has more options and the better screen and a lot of customization but I still pick Google lol

The sizing of pixel fold is better...landscape form factor easier to type on. Hard to type on the main screen of the fold 4.

There's a saying "New things fascinates initially. Reality kicks in after few days and old looks better after". Just saying.

I’ve also heard the grass is not always greener on the other side… but when you’ve been in lawn care for as long as I have you know what you’re dealing with😊

I thought maybe all the crazy amount of options on my Z Flip 3 might be fun to play with, but actually they were just more stressful to mess with, and made the phone much more work to set back up after a factory reset.

I know I could use Smart Switch to restore them, but that's also extra work, and after having problems with a phone that requires a reset, I like to start fresh instead of restoring potential problems. Besides I really didn't get anything pleasure wise out of all the tweaking except for the edge lighting... the rest just felt like work 😞

I also prefer the Pixel experience because it's easier.... and things just seem to work better with less fiddling 😁

I totally understand. I know plenty of people just like to set up and have it run... I set up this phone from scratch. I wanted to go into it with no potential bugs.. it went nice and smooth process for the setup

That's why I'm in looove with the Moto Razr+! The UI is soo much cleaner and very much like a pixel experience!
