I'm thinking of buying a tablet and one shocking omission i see that android is missing is a way to read newspapers and magazines. I know that we have zinio but compared to the touchpads and ipads optimized for tablets magazine zinio is disappointing. Most publisher wont jump on until there is a place to control subscriptions.

so when so you think we will see this from google?

I'm not sure, but you might want to check out the Kindle app. I know that Amazon has newspaper and magazine subscriptions, but I'm not sure if they are only available on the Kindle itself, or can be sent to other devices (like Android phones, tablets, or iPads and such).

The Kindle app works with a few newspapers on our phones (The Washington Post, LA Times), but not all of them (NY Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, a whole bunch of others). As for magazines, there's quite a lot that you can get, and they work just like a regular subscription. I think you'll see more of them trickle in slowly later on.
