Google Nexus 6 on Verizon

Confirmed with my own eyes. You have to go to a Verizon corporate store not Cellular sales. Ask if they have any news on the Nexus 6. If they say no ask to search their system. Nexus 6 is showing up as live on Web site on 2-26-15. It does not allow them to see any other information. I asked if it would be 32Gb or 64GB and they couldn't tell me. I asked to take a picture of the screen and was laughed at.
Why are they waiting so long? Hell the S6 will probably be announced in February. At least it is something. Now the wait is to see how they lock it up. And if my Note 2 can last that long.

That's my point. There's no point in posting to say what a Verizon rep told them because clearly they have no idea either.

So far the tech I spoke with seems to still be on schedule....Not saying he's right ,but he seemed to really know his stuff, not some one reading a script.

Knowing what I know now. I could save the upgrade on my line for later use and purchase the N6 outright. If I do that and Verizon releases the phone would I get Verizon specific updates like Volte?
How much a month is Moto financing on a 32GB

It depends. You have your choice of financing for 6, 12 or 18 months so just divide the price by the length you want. I chose 12 but I've actually already paid it off entirely.

That's the question. I am prepared to sell my nexus 6 if I don't get some kind of update...

I just don't know what happens since I bought the motocare insurance.

Me too. I'm a light user and I have to turn on power saver after 4 hours of use. At least we won't have to wait for Verizon's blessings for an updates.

If you are able to go off contract, you can essentially save money by purchasing the phone outright:

You save $25/month on your monthly service, which saves you $600 over 2 years. You get the phone for $50 (32gb).

If you wait to buy it as an upgrade on contract, it'll be at least $200, while paying $600 for your service.

Doing on contract is like buying it on credit at a 12.5% interest rate ($150 more for the phone over 2 years, $75/year on $600 purchase). Moto credit is interest free, you'd come out ahead via outright purchase whether you go with installments or not.

I was thinking in order save the $25 per month, you had to be buying the phone via the Edge program. Can you get the $25 discount just by being on More Everything plan?

Edge requires a contract, but otherwise the math I showed is identical. You are basically borrowing to pay for the phone at 0% interest like you would buying via Moto Credit. The problem is that you still are waiting for VZW to carry the phone, and it requires a 2 year contract

The $15/month applies to the More Everything plan as long as you are off-contract. So if you are starting service on a new line and bring your own phone, or don't use your upgrade when your contract ends, you qualify for the discount.

Provided you ask for it. The system doesn't automatically apply it to your account. I'm sure this makes them millions of dollars on those folks that use their phones for years and don't know to make the request.....

That's probably going to be the decision if that Feb. date is correct. The Snapdragon 810, 64bit 4gb of Ram, 20mp camera, better build quality, Touch Wizzed up S6 or the N6. I'd still probably go with the Nexus. We shall see.

But how long before that 64bit processor is used. I bought a 1080P TV in 2005. My cable provider only has a few channels in 1080P. MOST are 720. But I spent a small fortune on cables and everything else to make sure my 1080 had every chance. That February date sure is making me want the MotoX then researching the X I started wanting the Turbo. Maybe I'll just wait for the rumored Droid phablet. I know I don't want another Sammy

Every Thursday I get more hopeful and every day verizon shows how much they really don't care. I really would rather not get the turbo but it looks like verizon isn't leaving us a choice

if you wnat the n6 so bad why not get the moto x instead of the turbo? its essentially a smaller n6

Thanks all for the info, received my 6 yesterday, swapped SIM from gen.1 Moto X in and up and running on Verizon.

Part of a family plan I need to get it on contract. I thought about getting a nexus through the 6 plus method a while back. I thought by then verizon would have probably provided the phone. Guess who got proven wrong

I'm on a family plan. Neither of us are on contract. Not sure what you mean.

I am so sick of Verizon. I finally got tired of waiting for them to release a version of their phone and picked one up from the Motorola site on the 27th. Just waiting for my sim cutter to come in so that I can resize my micro from my Note 2 to Nano for the N6. I received my phone less in less than a week after ordering it from Motorola.
