Google Nexus 6 on Verizon

Every Thursday I get more hopeful and every day verizon shows how much they really don't care. I really would rather not get the turbo but it looks like verizon isn't leaving us a choice

Order one from Motorola. That is what I did. Use the sim in your current phone in your N6 (even if you have to spend 6 bucks on a sim cutter to resize it). If I could find a carrier with service to match Vz where I live, I would switch in a heartbeat. Their bloatware absolutely sucks, they hideously brand their phones, and the updates are abysmal.

I'm about to do the iPhone 6 plus method. Selling the 6 plus on swappa with a goal of making 700. Then buying the nexus 6 off google play for 650 which leaves 50 dollars. If you don't have much time and want the nexus 6 fast buy it from swappa which is a tad bit higher but will ship faster than the Google play.

I have a Note 2. Apparently the sim will not work in the N6? Anyone have a link to a how to on the method to cut this sim to fit the N6? I've seen it mentioned in this thread a couple of times about people doing this.

I guess their buying it outright through VZW, then VZW unlocks it, then they sell it???!?? That way Verizon thinks you've upgraded to the Apple but your using a N6.

Ridiculous that we have to go through this crap. They should just announce their intentions. If their not going to carry it, then say so. If so, then let these people know so they can decide what their going to do. I really don't see how it benefits VZW to keep people hanging on, it's just pissing them off.

Ya I have an upgrade eligibility so that's how I get the 6 plus. I haven't done it yet but will next Thursday if verizon doesn't budge. Anyways the last time a company wanted more control over their phone was apple and verizon took over 5 years to release the first iPhone. Imagine how hard it will be for Google to run this through verizon with the bootloader unscathed. For what it's worth I talked to a knowledgeable rep of verizon and she told me verizon doesn't have a date yet but they've begun discussing the nexus 6 and she obviously didn't tell me anything about that

You've been reading wrong. An unlocked N6 works perfectly on VZW. You just need to have a SIM attached to your account for it. Does the S4 have a micro SIM? If not you need to cut your current SIM or get one from VZW.

I let them replace my device id with a dummy id and now she can't put it back. Only way to change the plan. Now my nexus 6 won't work on Verizon. So so so so mad. Should have went back to my s3 or droid RAZR maxx and changed it, then went back to my nexus 6.

I changed the text messaging limits w/o issue. I have unlimited data so I'm not about to change that.

Guys - on another thread, I read that google play nexus on verizon doesn't allow simultaneous voice & data. Is that true? Also anything else that doesn't work as expected?

It does not. It could with a software update, but no one knows if one will be forthcoming.

The phone is capable of handling voice and data simultaneously. Until VZW releases software specific to the phone, however, it can't do it. Several phones have already been updated it's working. VZW has given the capability a proprietary name. Their plans, and the roll-out process, is described on their web-site, though they don't list when a particular device will recieve the update.

The thing is that VZW has not pushed the software for the N6 yet. The update is device specific, and only a couple of devices have received theirs.
