I hadn't really considered the N6.
I didn't realize it's only $600 new.
I'm trying to get some more recent feedback from current Google version N6 owners. There's been talk that Verizon doesn't give the month to month discount unless it's Verizon branded.
I'll still call Verizon tomorrow, but I just found this with some additional information :

Yes, it does. As long as you're enabled with myverizon the device works with it and Verizon recognizes it as an eligible device regardless of purchase point. How about the unbranded N6, does it get xlte on Verizon's network?
Mine came with 5.1 from Verizon and voicemail worked fine. Did you know Verizon visual voicemail is free now? Unless you subscribe to the full featured one. After updating to 5.1 my voicemail now doesn't work. Anyone find a fix for this with out subscribing to visual voicemail?

So you log off and log in again every time you are in a 3G zone?I had to go to my Verizon and select the Volte tab, log off, reboot and voilà.
Simultaneous talk and search can be a huge help for me. Very glad its working.
I'm out in the sticks, pretty rural area. At my sons highschool I barely get 3G but every where else, at home most importantly I'm Volte strong!
