Re: Just a theory about the pre-order

I doubt they will rely on carriers to do much of a push. Let's face it, Verizon has the the Droid line to push. And other carriers have the same situation. I think they will put it on their wall with little to no fanfare to sell. The only company I can see making a big deal out of it would be T Mobile. And for them it would be smart as it is a great phone to try and steal customers with. Sprint too...

Sprint can mess up a wet dream.............. That network has had so much potential and they just seem to fumble every thing they do...

T-Mobile has always pushed android pretty good.... Their CEO has already made post on twitter and such about the Nexus 6... I agree I could see them doing a decent push and their network has really been taking off in major markets... they still have a lot of work to do in between major cities and markets.... but as long as you live, work and play inside a major market and don't have to travel a lot T-Mobile is one of the best deals in wireless....

I agree. Their CEO seems to be "All in" on the N6 with all the twitter posts. While I want to get it through the play store for certain reasons, I am warming up to the idea of just getting it on T-Mobile and going with them. If their wifi calling is as good as I think it will be, that will be a game changer for me. And their prices and data plans are pretty strong. I just don't see Verizon and AT&T pushing this phone at all.

Verizon won't.... They have the turbo (as you stated) What's exclusive at Sprint right now? use to be the EVO but HTC finally stopped making an exclusive phone for Sprint.... I know Dan Hesse probably lost his job because he sold his soul to the Devil... I mean Apple to get the iPhone... I know they have a special plan for just iPhone 6 buyers.... What's AT&T's exclusive phone?

I like T-Mobile... Ten times better than Sprint (who I was with 15+ years) at least here in Dallas.... and this $30 unlimited data/text and 100 minute plan is just awesome... (I only average 60 - 80 minutes a month.... Only gone over once in the now 8 months on T-Mobile) and they keep upgrading their network at amazing speed (Thank you AT&T Break up fee)

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

i expect better from the smartest collection of minds on the planet known as Google.

Fair enough. But I think people are too eager to give in to their frustrations and lash out because they weren't able to secure a preorder. Am I bummed that I didn't get a preorder and will have to wait indefinitely to get my hands on the phone? Absolutely. Am I PO'd at Google, and saying that I'm not even going to bother with the Nexus due to this situation, and whatnot? No.

I get that people are frustrated and annoyed, and I am, too, but it's not like Google purposely did all of this just to screw with people, or something. I'm sure there are reasons that this happened the way it did. Whether or not Google "owes" us to make us privy to said reasons, depends a lot on the nature of them, and what the resolution will be.

Re: Who ordered theirs today?

It's going to be hard to get over this kick in the face from Google but I'll try. My N5 should do for now.......

Nexus 6 sells out in seconds... Not a single blog post from any reputable android site...

Seems weird to me that no android sites have talked about this. Like not even a small little post saying how bad the launch was, or how fast it sold out. Is it just me?

Re: Nexus 6 sells out in seconds... Not a single blog post from any reputable android site...

No it's not just you. In fact Google not addressing it like their customers don't matter at all speaks volumes.

Re: Who ordered theirs today?

The last two Nexus phones I bought I didn't receive until well into November, so it's probably (hopefully) won't be that much different this time.

Re: Nexus 6 sells out in seconds... Not a single blog post from any reputable android site...

I think Google isn't talking, so no one knows what happened. Was it a technical glitch? Did Google decide to only sell 100 phones for some reason? Was it a case of unprecedented demand? Until Google talks, there's not much point in someone writing an article, the entire article would be pure speculation.

Re: Nexus 6 sells out in seconds... Not a single blog post from any reputable android site...

I'm more shocked that it sold out so quick. Did Google make like 3 of them?

android police wrote an article on it.. and other sites updated their original articles to talk about it. What to talk about? It is the same story every year. Google can't launch a phone, they have site issues, the same old same old. Has been that way since the nexus 4.

Re: Nexus 6 sells out in seconds... Not a single blog post from any reputable android site...

It does seem a bit odd, but given the lack of attention it's gotten, I think it's probably fair to just assume Google has a fairly low amount of stock prepared for the first batch, and that a segment of the population was just lucky enough to get them preordered quickly, leaving everyone else empty-handed.

If something had not gone right, I do think we would've heard about it by now, and I think there'd be more attention on the issue. I'm sure there are perfectly fine reasons things happened as they did, with the preordering, they're just not reasons for us to know, at least not at this time.

Def right this was a curb stomp. The N5 launch went smoother. I'm thinking now that probably the inventory is being held for carriers. I would rather buy at the play store but if Sprint gets it first I'll go there.

Apparently the rumor on the net is that Google is reserving large amount of shipment for carriers. If this is so I just wish they would say it lol. Its like a big secret. Not being transparent with a customer makes it seem like you are hiding something, and that shouldnt be something to hide unless, there really is something about this that is bad...lol

All the blogs are in on it, Google reserved handsets for each blogger plus all of their family

I haven't seen any articles that provide a source for this rumour, other than pointing to other articles reporting the same rumor

Id like to agree with that, but it just seems weird that blogs didnt even say Update: Nexus sells out in seconds Or "Bad Nexus Launch...Again". I mean thats what these news sites are here for right? To deliver news. No matter how redundant it is. Apple sites are continuously redundant saying how fast iPhones sell out and any other piece of information that repeats itself.
