Now hold on, hold on... Let's not get too hasty here. Google did say that the device would be available for preorder on Oct. 29, but did they specify which year? ;-)

Google's Nexus 4 Sells Out In US

The black 16GB Nexus 5 is already out of stock in the US Play Store and it only took 33 minutes.

16GB Black Nexus 5 Sells Out In The US Play Store After Just 33 Minutes [Update: All Versions Now Showing Multiple Week Waits]

Those I can understand... But to sell out in seconds??? For a device that cost twice as much

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

I find it hard to believe the some people in this thread really think they only had 10,15,30 or even 100 phones then went out of stock. That seems ridiculous to think that. But I could be wrong.

My guess is they released 100 phones at a time to slow down the incoming payments so they didn't crash. And the had multiple release's staggered out ,but hell I don't really know anything, just a guess

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

This just made my decision to go to tmobile that much easier. This is ridiculous.

Re: How did I miss preorder??

That would have been better than having false illusion of being able to order one

From my Moto X

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

how can you sell out of a pre order though? thats the whole point of pre ordering. so that you get a spot in line when it actually does come in stock.

In a perfect world, yes, preorders should always stay open and people receive theirs in the order they ordered them. But it's not uncommon for preorders to only be open for the first batch of produced devices, and to close preorders once that allotment has been filled.

I'd hazard a guess that the reason some people were able to luck out and get an order in here and there is because either some people that had preordered either canceled shortly after, or Google couldn't put a hold on their funds and immediately canceled said orders; thus, units would randomly become available, and refreshers would stumble onto them and snatch them up.

how can you even have an allotted stock on something thats supposedly not coming out for another 3-4 weeks?

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

I am pretty disappointed in today. Yes, it is sad that phone can irritate me like this. But I worked hard for my money and was looking forward to getting at the least pre-ordering this device today. It seems that for every 10 32GB phones they sold, they only had stock for 1 64GB phone. I never looked at the 32GB pages as I was solely focused on the 64GB version. I will still buy from the play store at some point as for some reason the taxes are almost miniscule there for me. I only paid .38 cents in tax for my N5. It was just a really really weird day. No affirmation from Google. Even most sites just ran a 3 min hands on review. Just like the months preceding this phone, the information has been incredibly hard to come by from any source. Sorry for the rant, just a frustrating and puzzling day.

Re: Who ordered theirs today?

I'm starting to think I'm one of the only few on these forums who scored a 64GB. Anyone else out there?

Re: Who ordered theirs today?

Leaves warehouse in 3 - 4 weeks--Nexus 6 (32GB, Midnight Blue) $649.00 1:17 PM (6 hours ago) Was very lucky. I had an auto page in chrome refreshing every 5 seconds and a page monitor at the same rate. I heard the alarm and immediately put it in my cart (had gwallet set up already to go) and checked out. Now, this may be due to I wanted a 32gb and not a 64 so that may have helped since it went live before the 64gb one. All in all I'm really excited to just be in line to get one. Already have a diztronic TPU case cpming as well :)

Re: How did I miss preorder??

Not to be rude but that makes no sense lol. Pre order for current stock and plan to ship in 3-4 weeks? Pre-orders by the way they have worked in the 20th century have never been capped, at least in my experience. Even if they run out they just give you a extended time frame for when to expect shipment. I dont recall ever pre-ordering something based off of limited quantities. Just ordering it and then being told it is out of stock seems more like the route of limited quantities.

exactly. were basically suppose to be getting a number in line. so when it actually does come in stock, we get one in the order it was received. not this crazy, pre order what little stock we have. thats crazy. especially considering it has a anticipated ship date of 3-4 weeks.

Re: Who ordered theirs today?

Didn't get a thing. With all the innovation Google is doing you would think they would be able to figure out an online store, and real time inventory tracking, if they can't maybe they should ask Amazon or Apple for some help...... they obviously need it.

Hey we all feel the same way man. I was looking forward to getting an unlocked Nexus. What a waste of time. Anyway, Im just going to get it on T-mobile in two weeks. At least they are offering the 64 GB online.

Re: Who ordered theirs today?

Sorry to hear that man. But remember, this phone is still not 100% official, so I think Google is treating it like an easter egg hunt for now. It will be available to the masses soon, then there will be plenty. People compare this to other launches but I think there have never been pre-orders for any phones (like nexus 4, and 5). Just buy options then getting them shipped out a few days afterwards. This is the first pre order launch of the nexus's. Someone correct me if i'm wrong?

re: Google Nexus 6 Preorder Info & Reviews

Yea this day def sucks. You spend the afternoon hitting F5 or waiting on that page monitor chime to go off to find nothing has changed. I hope google gets their a$$ chewed out for this debacle. I don't understand posting about pre-orders and then allowing 12 to be sold, and just saying out of stock check back soon. i'm sure a lot of people are upset

The Google Nexus 4 smartphone website indicated that the unit was sold out in the US Google Play store in both 8GB and 16GB variants, but some users are reporting that they have been able to purchase it. Roughly 50 minutes after it went on sale at 8:35 this morning, the site was displaying the ‘coming soon’ banner for us. Update: Google has confirmed that it has sold out in ‘a few countries’.
